This thread is useless without pics! I have none!!! Maybe I''ll get some later today.

I have fallen in love with 2 phenomenal rings. I''ve been looking for an OEC ring for our 10 yr anniversary.

The first ring is approx 1/3 ct glorious OEC with a really high crown (which I love) and great chunky facets, set in white gold with 2 small OEC side stones. It''s beautiful and a great price. I''m concerned that it might look too engagement-y. And, it might be too small for my large hands. Although, I could flank it with other rings to give it some more oomph.

The second ring is art deco, filigree, 10 stone ring. (get it, 10 yr anni--10 diamonds?!) It''s a North South setting in white gold and has lovely OECs all over it. (I believe it''s 2 ct tw.) The stones are big enough to see the open culets that I love. This one grabbed my eye as soon as I saw it. I love vintage but I''m concerned that it''ll look "fake" because it''s not really something you see much of. (although that''s another reason I love it)

I''d love to have them both, but which do you prefer??

I voted for number 3...because while the discriptions are lovely, it''s really hard to make an informed suggestion.

However...if we need to go off the discriptions alone, number 2.

I know, I''m such a bad PSer! I''ve been into so many places with a camera that sat in my bag, now I go to a place that I actually WANT pics and leave my camera at home.

I vote #2 based off of your description. You had detail, symbolism, the whole bit for #2 but not for #1 :)

Without pics it is hard, but my preliminary vote is for number two!

I want pics, but I love the symbolism of #2, so that''s how my vote went!

Totally screwed up on total weight for ring 2. I just went back and looked again and it''s about 3/4 ct tw. I have no idea how it became SOO big in my head!! Wow, DSS would really sink in when you buy it thinking it''s more than a carat bigger than in real life!! And you guys are probably going, how the heck are these two rings even CLOSE in price?!@ The largest stones are around .17 with the smaller stones going down in size.

So, I found a couple pieces of jewelry that I don''t wear anymore and checked into trading them in. He offered a fair amount and so I could possibly be able to get them both! (I know, it''s stingy, but come on!!) I''m settled on getting ring 2 for the anniversary ring. I''m still so in love with the OEC in ring 1, I may go back for it.

btw-The jeweler affirmed that it is a real vintage piece, probably from the 20''s or 30''s as all art deco should be!

Still welcoming opinions, because I''d love a reason to end up with BOTH rings! Ya know, the first ring could be a great pinky ring next to the art deco piece!

I would go with the first one.

#2 according to your description, but we really need pics.
