For those who''ve read my ridiculously indecisive posts and responded, I really appreciate it. I feel so great about my decision! I don''t think I''m going to suggest part time at this time because I don''t see the point. If she offers it, I may consider it...but what it comes down to is I don''t love what I do. I don''t need to continue my experience in this position if I want to get into something else down the road. I may keep up my skillset by getting payroll certified and taking an accelerated Excel course or something. I hope if something opens up down the road at this company in payroll/401k that they will consider me. I''m just done with recruiting! I hate the amount of paperwork and I''m wasting my perfectly good mathematical and analytical skills!

I can''t wait to stay home with my baby girl!

Good for you, I have faith that things have a way of working themselves out when you help your own self. I wish you luck and I''m glad your going to be happy!

Congratulations on your decision!! I''m sure it feels like a weight has been lifted from your shoulders!

I''m so glad you''re happy, Courtney, your bubba girl is so lucky to have her mamma at home with her! All the best!! xxx

Good for you, Courtney, for making a decision that is best for your family. I didn''t reply in your thread but I read it. Best wishes!

That was quick! I''m sure it''s a relief to make a decision.

Let us know how it goes when you tell your boss, and I''d love to hear how things are 6 months, 1 year down the road when you look back.

Yay for more time with baby girl!

It was not quick to me! I feel like I''ve been struggling with this decision since before I had her. I finally realized...why am I trying to talk myself out of what I really want to do? It''s going to happen eventually...even if I gave it another 2 weeks or whatever!

I''m really happy for you Courtney! I think you will be very glad you made this decision, as you already sound so relieved and excited! Congrats!

Congrats!

Congratulations! You sound so excited, I''m happy for you!

Congratulations, Courtney!

It definitely sounded like your incentives to stay home far outweigh those to keep working. Good for you!

That''s great Courtney! I''m so happy for you!

Yay for you Courtney!! That''s great!!!

Congrats Courtney! I followed your other threads, but didn''t respond b/c seemed like you got good advice. I''m happy you made this decision, seemed like it was what you really wanted to do. Enjoy!!!!!

Congrats! I''m glad you have made the decision.

Congrats Courtney! Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Congratulations! You sound so happy with your decision which is great! Enjoy the time with your baby girl!!

I''m so happy for you! I''ve been reading your posts and was hoping this was the decision you came to. I don''t have any children now, but am hoping in a couple years, my DH and I will be in the position you are in now, able to make the choice between working or being a SAHM. Good luck! I look forward to hearing how it works out.

Janine, she was very surprised! She kept her cool at first and was very understanding. As the day went on, she started looking tired and stressed. She finally came to my office and said "Ok, I''m starting to freak out now." I told her to relax and that I would help as much as I could after the 2 weeks. She''d asked me if I would be willing to go on the scheduled college recruiting trips this Fall and I said I would. I feel bad putting them in this position, but I''d feel worse leaving my little one at home! It''s been hard enough here and knowing I still have 2 weeks to go!

Congrats on making the right decision for you! Enjoy your time with Alila! They grow up so fast.
