Check them! I've just had my first case of cc fraud against me and it feels pretty awful. They charged all kinds of fun things like sportscenter, skype, some website called yoox.com for clothes, a chocolate company and a few other small ones. :angryfire: The best was that they charged internet security to a stolen cc. Really?! Anyhow, just wanted to post a quick reminder.

This happened to me about 6 months ago, you feel violated for sure!! They reversed the charges but it's still no fun to go through.

I know I will sound naive but how do they get your card details? I don't have a credit card anymore. Too tempting to run up lots of debt

The bank said that there are people that have programs that do nothing but run random 16 digit numbers, trying to get a card to go through. Usually it's a low dollar value thing first. In my case it was Netflix and Blockbuster first, then a security website (lol), then skype. Two days later they started with the big stuff.

UGH! I hate that!!!! Usually I am beyond annoyed at DH going through the Mint account with alarming frequency to categorize every thing  and nag me about what something cost at Nordstrom or Target or how he lost money on whatever investment or that the house went down in value, but this is where it's good because we can keep track of transactions that we aren't so sure about. I had three different fraud warning calls this weekend from our credit union, to my knowledge we've maybe had one from Discover ever. The ones from our credit union were all valid charges (sadly...) but I appreciate how vigilant they are about that stuff. And that they know we're two fatties that do not do camping/outdoorsy stuff lol

Amex has always been great about it too. Probably the best of all of them.

I check my CC statement online frequently, but my DH gets a text on his phone everysingletime any kind of purchase is made on his CC. I used to find it to be kind of annoying, but he likes it because that way he knows that if he gets a text and hasn't made a purchase, it's time to investigate. :errrr:

I go thru my accounts weekly, so far I have been lucky, no CC fraud, I know my Mom and Sister both have had problems in the past..

Ugh, what a hassle.

I review my credit card and bank account statements vigilantly when they arrive. I've caught fraudulent charges on my cards several times, and the cards have always been in my possession.

I no longer have cc's. I do have a debit card, but I receive daily emails with all of my account activity. The account was hacked a few years ago (Netflix charges, overseas stuff for pennies, etc.) but I caught it as soon as it happened and my bank also called me so I was able to reverse all of the charges.

S reviews his 2 cc statements online every day. You can't be too careful today!

I check every account (bank, debit, cc) daily.

It's bordering on obsessive!
