PS Dust to spare? Knee surgery this afternoon... ACK!

aw girl, i'm just now seeing this. glad things went smoothly and no ACL. we've got some catching up to do!!

Oh I am so glad it went well!!

WIshing you a speedy recovery!

Late to this - that's awesome Dee!

Feel better (w/o the happy pills  ) soon!

All this PS dust has done wonders! I have had a bit of discomfort, but nothing I classify as real PAIN (unless you count that time yesterday when I tripped backwards over a metal rack in Filene's Basement because I was feeling fat and frumpy and decided that it was a good idea to go shopping for something cute less than 24 hours after surgery  ). I also just took my big dressing off in anticipation of a real shower (with presss 'n' seal wrapped around my leg, of course) and it looks better than I thought it would (although that one incision way up in my quad is a leettlle scary...).

Quick question: do I need to wrap something light over the steri-strips or can I just leave them be?

Thanks again all for going through this with me!!!

Glad to hear you are doing well! Enjoy the shower!

Dee Jay, glad to hear that all is well!!! :appl: :appl:

DJ

DeeJay,

Glad to hear your surgery went well and I wish you a speedy recovery.

Marcy

well done Dee*Jay - though I admit I'm not looking forward to you being fully mobile again for selfish purposes - it's been so nice to have you around :)

Hi Dee! :wavey:

Glad you're feeling better, but PLEASE take it easy....you're still healing!!!

You can leave the steri-strips as they are as long as they are clean and look like they aren't infected.

I've been there many times and am with you all the way.

Big hugs,

Lori

Happy Monday morning all! I am sitting here in my office with my knee being iced on my desk (thank god for those skorts I bought at Eddie Bauer at the beginning of the season, LOL!). I actually feel pretty good, but I did make myself take a cab this morning even though I wanted to walk because I was afraid five blocks right off the bat would be a bit much.

You are all so great, and I really really really appreciate the support getting through this!!!

Dee- SO glad you are feeling well and moving about more! :appl: :appl:

I'm glad to hear you got home so fast! Healing dust and thoughts still comin your way!

Thanks very much all! I walked home yesterday and in again this morning (about 5 blocks each way), so I'm a little swollen, but not in any pain. A venti-sized sippy cup of iced coffee, chocolate almond fudge cliff bar, ice pack wrapped knee propped up on my desk -- ah; life is good!

After my foot surgery I was sitting sideways at my desk with my feet up on another chair and my keyboard on my lap. The things we do to accomodate ourselves, eh? I'm glad you're doing so well!

Dust for you Deejay, and prayng for a quck recovery.

Did you damage your knee by running?

LOL Gecko, you should see some of the positions I've assumed lately to make working possible!

Jaysonsmom, I actually hurt it skiing. I like to say I was rushing down a mountain ahead of an avalanche to save a little boy and a baby bunny from the onrushing snow, but the reality is my skis turned and I didn't...

Ouch, I feel for you. that's why I gave up skiing after 3 attempts....

You might find this odd, but I can't wait to get back on the slopes! Seriously, that first chairlift of the season up the mountain is gonna have me on it!

Dust for a speedy recovery!
