Good luck Tacori!!!

A whole big moutain of dust to you! I''m not a good test taker either...I get too anxious and then forget
everything I know. My best advice is to get a low-key attitude about the test. Its no big deal, right?
I used that type of psychology on me and it helped me to relax and do better on test.

whoohoo! LOADS of DUST!

Go girl!

Oh .. and here''s lots of dust!! sprinkle sprinkle

Thanks everyone for all the dust. I need it! Also a BIG thank you to Princesss who was my study buddy and without I am not sure how motivated I would have been to study. Unfortunately I don''t have time to retake it before the deadline to my program so I am keeping my fingers crossed I do well. Luckily the GRE is the least weighted in the application but I still don''t want to bomb it

After I take it I will come back and let you all know what books I used to prepare. I don''t want to suggest anything if I realize that the test is totally different. Thanks for all the support.

Novel, It has been SOOO long since I took the SATS/ACTS. I think like 13 years
32.gif
but you are right that the GRE is the least weighted which is a GOOD thing for me!

Thank you Snlee!

April20 it is scary and exciting for MANY reasons. Haha.

Charger thanks friend!

Kaleigh I will take dust, fingers crossed, ANYTHING!

Selkie thanks!

Softly, I need all the luck I can get!

I do not know how you could (or anyone) survive the bar exam. Stress!

swimmer, I am planning on taking an ambien. Haha. I need sleep, you are right!

Dani, thank you!

Tiffany, thanks for the dust!

DF, thank you!

Zoe, you have too much faith in me!

Thanks friend.

LtlFirecracker, thank you!

Packrat, thanks I need it!

DS, I hear ya! Luckily my undergrad GPA is very good so hopefully that will help if I don''t make the min. for the GRE. I think it a silly requirement too. It only tests how good I am at taking their test not my intelligence. Oh well. Lots of things in life aren''t fair.

lucky, good luck to you too. Tests really scare me. I am trying to remain calm.

SS, thanks for all the dust!

Lilac, thank you!

luv, I''ll take them! Thank you!

kas, I will let you all know on friday. It is cool you get your score (minus essays) right away. Thanks for the dust!

thing2, start preparing now! Haha. No, I am sure you do fine. I just had some trouble b/c it has been 10 years since I took a math class plus I have a lot of stress and distractions in my life (ahem...Tessa) so it has made it more difficult for me to retain the knowledge. Princesss will do awesome when she decides to take it!

TGal, thanks. Right now I feel like your AV but tomorrow night I can finally relax a bit. That is until I finish my personal statement

janine, thanks friend!

Yayyyyy! As you already know I am so so sooooo excited for you. I know you will surprise yourself with how well you do. Remember, confidence confidence confidence.

Can''t wait to hear how it goes.

Good luck and tons of knowledge dust coming your way! We''ll be thinking of you on Friday. Hugs!

DUST DUST DUST!!!!

A million sprinkles of dust. I hope they particularly fall on the parts of your brain dedicated to trigonometry, latin and greek roots, and thesis formation.

Good Luck.

Thanks so much Erica (I hope to be surprised in a GOOD way), Catmom, brooklyn, kata (I hate math so the dust should help me!) and marcy. Unfortunately my test was postponed! The server was down. No one bothered to call and tell me but at least I know how to get there. I am suppose to take it tomorrow morning so hopefully all this great PS dust won''t wear off by then.

Much test taking dust!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks PrincessPlease.

Well the test center just called and said the server will not be fixed by tomorrow and were trying to get me to take a Nov 23rd date...ummmm...I don't think so! So I am suppose to NOW take it next Friday. So I need dust for the test AND that it actually happens. I am about to lose my sense of humor.

GRE Tip #1: Take the test with plenty of time before your deadline. Luckily I will still have 2 weeks after the new test date but that is cutting it close.

Sorry it didn''t work out Tacori! At least maybe you can get more studying in if you think you need it. What a pain though.

Still sending you dust Tac!!

Ditto, you get all ready and now this. Oh well, extra time to review could be a good thing. Sending lots and lots of dust your way, still keeping my fingers crossed for ya!!

Thanks Zoe, Lor and Kaleigh! I will admit I almost threw my phone across the room b/c it is frustrating when you mentally prepare for something that is delayed but this is a good reminder of what I am and am not in control of. So I am taking it in stride and will use the extra week to study.

Test day is almost here!!! You have tons of dust flying your way from me!

Sending you TONS of dust. (but I don''t think you need it. you''re going to do great!)

Tacori, blowing dust your way. I''m a terrible test taker so I know what you''re going through. Wishing lots of luck and positive vibes!

Lots of dust tomorrow; you will do great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
35.gif

Wishing you all the best tomorrow Tacori!!!

Good luck!!!

Thanks everyone for the dust. I survived...just barely. Haha. I am not one to sugarcoat things so I will honesty say that was NOT a fun test. I am SOOOO glad it is over. I realized with all the practice tests I took (7) I never did both essays and the three sections (only two are scored) so it seemed extra long. I scored similarly to my practice tests so for those of you who are planning on taking it I do suggest those. MyGreTutor.com was a great online resource. He has 5 online tests on there and a ton of practice questions. Also I took the 2 online tests from the ETS'' website. Might as well go right to the source right? FYI their online program does not work on macs. Other preparations were the "Princeton Review GRE" book which was a great way to learn tricks and how to TAKE the test. Also I used "Bob Miller''s Math Guide to the GRE" which reviewed all the math I had long forgotten. I also got the Kaplan vocab flashcards and took out the most commonly words used on the GRE. That information can be found in the "Princeton Review" or "Princeton Review''s Word Smart for the GRE."

Yay Tacori! I knew you would be just fine! (And I have to start studying hardcore so it''s good to know the studying seems to have helped you!) Can I be nosey and ask what type of program you''re trying to do for grad school?

I meant to add I think studying improved my score at least 100 points. The first practice test I took was only after a few weeks of studying so maybe even more than if I went in there cold. I often say having a baby has made me stupid (mommy brain and all) so I am sure you wouldn''t need to study as long as I did. Also I think the sooner you take it after graduation probably the better. My brain really forgot how to study. Guess this is good practice for school! I prepared for 8 weeks b/c it takes me a little longer to absorb somethings and I have lots of distractions in my life. I want to be a counselor.
