Present ideas! 34yr old guy, married, 2 kids...never met him

We do this thing every year - local charity gathers presents for those not so well off. This year my person to buy for is as I said - 34yr old male, married, two young kids. So stuck! My spending limit is €25. Any ideas? Gah, I love when I get kids, so easy to buy for! Someone suggested a turkey voucher for Christmas...good idea, but what if they already have one? What if they hate turkey what if they're all veggies?? This line of reasoning has lead me away from many pressies. Best suggestion so far is a Christmas hamper, which I'll get tomorrow if nobody comes up with anything better. It's so hard to get a present for someone you've never met!

If gift certificates are acceptable, I would give one for the local music store. Very few people don't enjoy some sort of music.

Theme basket -- like if you do a movie gift card, stick it in a basket with microwave popcorn & candy.
That way he gets something other than "just a gift card" but still has the flexibility of getting what he wants/needs.

A movie store or even Half Price Books (used book store that can have some great book finds as well as music and movies) or Barnes and Noble might be fun for him too.

When you have a low income and kids you never get the chance to treat yourself. I just can't think of what a man his age would like. Its tough when you don't know him! You are in Ireland right? Why not get him an Argos voucher? They have big sales after Christmas. Problem with that is he might be tempted to spend it on the kids. What about a clothing store, one of the less expensive ones... he could get himself something to wear. I will keep thinking and come back!

I love the idea of movie vouchers! That would mean he could have an evening out.
