The brain is a funny thing, as she comes out and retrains her brain that is undamaged to take over the damaged area's function it will be wonderful. A very close friend of mine many years ago had a PE, it's scary. I send healing vibes to you and your family Karl.

The “wait and see” is simply soul destroying - no other way to put it.
Take strength from the fact that the human brain is truly remarkable and can adapt with time and rehabilitation.
Women are particularly fortunate in such dire circumstances, their brains have a better ability to adapt.

Sending positive vibes your way Karl. My mom had a PE years ago. We were so fortunate that she was babysitting my 10 year old niece at the time. Mom had been short of breath and thought it was a cold but my niece felt that she looked pale and insisted on calling an ambulance.

I had a PE years ago similar to your mom.
They had just drove back from visiting her Doctor, she saw both a NP and her primary care who has treated her for years about 20 minutes before it happened..
She got out of the car and went to walk up the steps and collapsed.
 
The brain is a an amazing organ....It has an amazing ability to compensate. I’m praying that happens and she comes home soon.

So very sorry buddy. I hate to hear this but I have the utmost faith God will put His healing hand on your SIL's body to provide a speedy and full recovery. And also that He would give the doctors the necessary wisdom and skills to treat her properly. Lastly, but far from least, He will provide peace and comfort to you, your brother and entire family during this catastrophic time in your lives.

The doctors are coming in to do an evaluation at 9am.
They called the family in around 4:30 that she was not responding well to the warming.

I'm sorry she wasn't responding well. Pray continuing for them and you.

I’m so sorry. Sending prayers. This might be a time to pray for the best but expect the worst. I hope she blows everyone away with her healing and that she just needs some time.
 
All of the test results are not in but there was no sign of brain activity and her kidneys are failing.
