I love, love, love this one! What was in the cup?

Do any of you have issues with your cats drinking out of cups? Mine prefer cups to bowls and I''m constantly catching them trying to drink out of my glass on the bedside table. I heard this is because they don''t like the taste of chlorine in tap water and so water that''s been left out is more tasty as the chlorine has dissipated.

A frosty, of course! But for awhile she would go into the closet or trash and grab straws and drag them to her water bowl and try to figure out how to drink with it.

Here''s my two. Ace is my 8 1/2 year old Brittany. Picture to the contrary, he is full of energy and is an absolute hunting fool. He is also a cuddler and will curl up next to any one who sits on a couch. The cat was adopted from a shelter at about 4 months of age, he is now about 8 years old. He was named Diz after Dizzy Gillespie (I''m a trumpet player and he had such cute chubby cheeks as a kitten). Soon after Diz also came to mean Diz-structive, Diz-asterous and Diz-combobulated. He has calmed down quite a bit the last couple of years and is such a lover. He will let anyone pet him and is often found curled up in my lap or at my feet.

HH, my little girl likes to steal straws from glasses/cups/soda cans. She also likes to drink out of cups, but not as much as she likes to steal straws.
Jet, Diz looks exactly like my Misty, but bigger.

We keep a jar of water that my mom uses to water her plants on the floor behind a chair in the living room - we leave it out and full so the chlorine evaporates and it''s better for the plants. ALL the kitties drink from it now. They have fountains they drink from, but they prefer water that tastes better, after sitting.

Binks is like that with the toilet. He totally ''gets'' that you put stuff in and it goes away, so I''m always finding stuff in there...wrappers, toys, etc. Oh, and a few weeks ago I caught him attempting to use it himself!

Darwin, our 8 year old cat-dog (he is a cat, he''s absolutely certain he''s a dog), loves to drink from cups. Leave your cup unattended for too long and he''s going in... He once got his head stuck in a smaller cup and spilled S''s water all over the floor when he flipped that he couldn''t get his head out...silly boy. I don''t have a picture of him on my work computer here, but I''ll dig one up at home later to contribute.

here she is again... this time she''s trying her luck with the beads. We were watching her like a hawk, and she know better, but was trying to see how close she could get before getting yelled at... she sat there and slowly kept scooting closer- lol- it was so funny to watch. when we yelled her name, she would look at us as if she had no idea what we were talking about and then act totally disinterested in the beads until she thought we had forgotten about it... lol

That is so sweet!

I spent all day trying to get a better picture of Harlow but film just doesn''t capture her personality. She is the best- even people who hate cats adore her.. she makes the oddest sounds, follows us around the house.. she is just amazing (and hilarious!)

Thanks! He''s our baby, that''s for sure. I just love how symmetrical and pefect the white fur is that lines his eyes and beard. The rest of him is solid gray/silver.

Is Darwin and Abyssinian? His facial markings look a bit "Mountain Lionish" which to me screams Aby.
