^^ @doberman, pawn is just a way of getting round the auto-mod and not having PS swamped with dodgy stuff. Kenny said that that happens if we use certain words, including the full version of s*x.

FWIW, Ella asked us to please stop using that certain 3-letter word here on PS.
That word is like "sax", but win the a replaced with an e.

IIRC It's not that she wants to censor discussion of that topic.
Rather, when bots find that word here they direct undesirable people to PS, creating more work for Ella.

I think people should read it, too.

I meant, IF she's going to do s*x work anyway, at least limit it to one person. That seems the safer way to go. (Sugar baby work, for those who haven't read the other thread.)

You'd rather she F someone for money IN PERSON, than do online stuff by herself where she doesn't have to touch anyone?!?

^^Oh, right. I was focused on the safety aspect of one person v. many. (Because you only have to make sure that one person's not a weirdo and you aren't exposed to all the weirdos in the world, with your real name.) Guess I didn't think that one through!

^^ Actually, I'm surprised that 11% would be OK with their daughter doing s*x work. Seems high to me. Maybe they should talk to some healthcare workers and major-crime detectives who have seen the things that too-often happen to s*x workers.

I wonder if the 11% voters actually have children. It's easy to say that one's advocacy would apply until it's your kid. I had different ideas about many things until I had kids!

^^ So true! Not that I have kids, but I remember meeting this older woman once who was a hippie, and had been very much part of the Swinging Sixties, pot-smoking, anything-goes, free love movement etc. She considered herself HUGELY open-minded, and she was telling me how much she had surprised herself by having negative feelings when her daughter came out. She really didn't think she would ever feel that way, and she WAS fine about it, really, but she said she struggled with it initially, and that really surprised her. I always remember that because I thought it was interesting.

The mama bear will barrel over the idealism of youth. Every single time. (Well at least for me!)

I don’t foresee any circumstances where I’d be okay with a child of mine being involved in s*x work of any kind.

I mean really, do any parents look at their precious little newborn and think---gosh, I can only hope you become a s*x worker.
I doubt middle/high schools will have a stripper at Career Day as a career option.
In general, I don't think many parents would think that is a desirable (or empowering) aspiration.

It's interesting how the votes are all yes or no, and none for the middle-way option. I'd think there would be some for that, considering that some posters have said that cam work is far preferable to in-person s*x work.
