Ahhh! Those views! I sure do miss my PA.
PA and CT are very similar, as far as animals, plants, scenery etc.
We have a whole different set of flora and fauna out here in NM.

@stracci2000, it’s really the most beautiful in the fall, you can’t beat New England with all the colors of the leaves.

My husband and I visited Ocean on May 15. It was the first family trip since our doggie had a surgery in Oct. 2020 and I broke my ankle and also had a surgery in Nov., one month later. Not sure if this counts as nature but thought I’d share some pics from our trip to the aquarium today.

Anyone else finding the rabbits are out in full force this year? I snapped this guy in my neighbor’s yard and then he ran around the corner with two of his friends.

My son's little family is visiting DIL's relatives in Illinois and a pair of sweet babies now lives in a garden. I miss my granddaughter but I don't want her to scare these cuties off. She is coming back in 2 days. I don't think a very energetic 2 years and 10 months old can behave nicely around helpless little birdies. The backyard is tiny, maybe 20X20 feet.

@Musia, they are so precious! I had a pair of mourning doves in my garden just like these a few years back. I think they were only around for 3-4 days before they flew off. I made them a little shelter (a box covered with branches from a bush I pruned) but they mainly hid under the plants and bushes in the garden.

I actually snapped a shot of four mourning doves recently, your post reminded me it was on my phone. I’ve never seen a group together like this:

I have a pair that live in my yard. One likes to take a bath in my tiny bird bath.

even when it's raining she/he goes in the bath!

Beautiful birds! I keep lights on for the babies hoping they will see at night and hide under the plants. They can fly not far so I don't want to come close and disturbe them. I have to water plants too and do it quietly. There are toys and birdies use them as shelter sometimes.

I love all these mourning doves, they are one of my favorite birds. I also love the goldfinch, they have a great little call and are very entertaining to watch.

I love Milkweed and my biggest patch according to my DH "has it's very own ecosystem". So many bugs. Milkweed beetles, bumble bees, honey bees, bottle flies, Monarchs, ants, neon green sweat bees. I took this pic of a hummingbird moth on one of the blooms the other day.

We throw our fruit that has gotten too mushy and whatnot in the backyard. Well, our woodchucks do enjoy the apples when they aren’t stealing berries from the raspberry bush.

Another for me today. This Downy woodpecker has started drinking from the hummingbird feeder. I gather the small ones can get to the nectar. I doubt the other, larger types could.

The Storr on Skye - the clouds cleared just as we got to the top, then closed back in again 10mins later, but enough time for some pics. For reference the two smidges to the left of the big pointy rock and one to the right are people.
