Please recommend Your Washing Machine!!!

I can tell you what NOT to get... I have a Whirlpool Duet and it is AWFUL. It doesn't clean towels I wash them twice and with extra additives and it gets very mildewy and the dryer is also dreadful.. It came along when we bought the house and one day it will be gone.... I think that is the reason they left it!!!! It was only about 18 months old.

Thanks everyone for your advice!!! We ended up getting the LG front loaders that I posted about earlier in the thread. We also got the pedestals, they're being delivered tomm!!! I cant wait to actually do laundry again...Thank goodness my parents only live 5 mins away, so I was able to get there this weekend to do a few loads!!! I also picked up some HD powder Tide like DS and others suggested!!! Thanks a bunch again, and I'll report back once I get them!!

Isn't it crazy how when you're without a washer or dryer for a small amount of time you suddenly need to use it desperately? We've had to go to the laundromat during repair times and it's awful.

Please come back with a review. I had wanted to try LG next. I think there are a lot of good reviews on them.

Mine is being delivered today. I haven't done laundry in a week so I am actually excited to get it started!!!

UGH, Im so frustrated I could SCREAM!!!!

So, I left out that when they came to deliver the machines, there was a problem with the dryer hookup here, so they told us we needed to get an electrician out to install the proper wiring. OK, annoying, but had to be done. The delivery guys insisted that we keep the dryer here in the box, so we had them put it in our garage. The washer was installed because there was no wiring issue with that.

So then last night, my husband's friend (who is an electrician) comes over to install the proper wiring, and they figure, why not just go ahead and install the dryer (the delivery guys even suggested we do this when the work was done). They remove the dryer from the box, and there is a HUGE scratch across the face of the control panel!!!! I am SO ANNOYED!!! Hubby called Best Buy immediately and explained the situation. We were afraid they werent going to do anything since the machine was left here and we thought they would say that they werent responsible for it. But thank goodness they said that they would come on Saturday and give us a new dryer and install it. Im so happy, but Im totally annoyed that I have to go another few days without being able to do laundry!! And Im really annoyed at the Best Buy delivery guys, who made a mess of my house and left scratches on my door too!!! I cant believe I tipped them!!! UGH.

When everything is in working order, I promise to come back and review them!!! Thanks all for letting me vent!!!
