I just don''t have a clue where to look.

The catch is the hanger on the top. Has anyone seen something like them? I''m trying to recreate this look for my aisle markers.

That hanger looks like a DIY job to me, made out of thick wire bent into shape.

You''re so right. I assumed it was punched through the jars, but it makes more sense that it''s just bent around the mouth then up&over. Thanks urse!

Now to just find the jars...

Glad I could help! The jars themselves look like pretty standard canning jars in shape, but the amber color is throwing me off. I wonder if someone might have painted some standard canning jars orange using a translucent color? That might end up really streaky, though.

Etsy has these, but they have writing on them as normal mason jars would... I''ll keep looking

I think it has to have come in that color... I''ve painted glass before and haven''t ever been able to get it that smooth and uniform. Not that I''m an expert or anything!

I''ve found blue and yellow but no orange yet.

If you aren''t able to find the colored mason jars (which I''ve tried to find before and its really tough sometimes!) would you consider wrapping clear ones that are quite easy to find and pretty affordable in an orange colored tissue paper and then maybe tie it onto the jar with raffia? This way you could still have the autumn rustic look without a tape line AND the orange color.

Just a thought. Good luck in your search!

Ok, here we go... they are half way down the page, there are five of them lined up in different shades of orang/amber/yellow...
SWEET! Thank you! But I''m having trouble finding a way to order them, it looks like they run auctions sporadically but don''t have any now

That''s a great idea. I think that we could do it with paper or fabric if we can''t find the colored jars!

I found this listing for clear ones in case you cant find the colored ones:

Meresal- I didn''t think to just look for colored candle holders. Way to think out of the box!

Thanks!! I could almost justify spending the extra money, because they are completely reusable... like around a backyard pool or patio after you get married :)

here

Walmart has a 12 pack for 17.96

As I read this thread it occurred to me....whatever did we do before the internet???

Of course, some of you may not REMEMBER a time before the internet....

Or, what about orange cellophane wrapping paper around clear jars. It might also be easier to use twine/raffia or something other than wire for holding up the jar from the shepard''s crook. Hard to find orange cello link but something like this wrapped around the jar and tied up at the lid? I know that is totally not your original vision, just trying to find something that might get you there.
Oh, there is orange cellophane out there, and even this orange lace cello
good luck lady!

Your local grocery store should have assorted sized mason jars. They''re really not hard to find.

I tried to find those orange jars for a looooong time last night, but could not find anything, other than antique amber jars that are sold individually.

Here''s a totally different idea for lanterns, that come in orange:

. . . although I do really love the hanging jars. From looking around last night, please be sure to use little tealights only for safety reasons.

OMG!! Just looked at the auction results for these hanging jars and they were going for around $75 a pop!!! WTH?!?!

Ok, so these aren''t orange... however, it''s a great deal if you don''t have you hanging archs already.

12 stakes, 12 cups, and 12 wire hangers for under $71, not inlc taxes and shipping though.

Here ya go! http://www.colouredbottles.co.uk/store/

It's a little difficult to figure out exactly what you're buying, but from the test configuration I did it was 40 euro for 56 of them in a certain size (unless I'm misunderstanding the 56/tray thing). They have lots of colors.

Huh. I've never seen ANY at any of our grocery stores (we have 5 that we frequent), much less a range of colors. It's likely a regional thing, perhaps people in Beverly Hills have no use for mason jars

Thanks for the help, though...

We'll be using battery-operated tealights, as we don't want to bother with the fire insurance and licensing that is required.

Thank you for looking!

Thank you all so much for searching for me! I have some good options to look into now

I only need 10 markers total, so the bulk options don''t work as well, but if nothing else I could just use the rest of them elsewhere!
