So, I don''t know exactly where to post this, but yesterday I had one of my pricier rings consigned at a local auction with a min set so that if it didn''t sell for a fair price I could just keep it. The min very very low, so I thought I was being reasonable enough. When I got there to kind of check and see what it sold for, the auctioneer, was thousands off on the appraisal and waay off on the ring''s twc. He said it was only about 2.75 cts when it''s actually over 4ctw. Nonetheless the ring was crudely misdescribed, even though I signed a contract stating the specifics and he had the appraisal right there, he sold it!!!! What makes me even angrier is that he sold it for waaaay less than my reserve even though he signed a contact stating he would not sell it for less. Times are tough right now, so I really needed the money and for him not to fudge on the entire listing. I tried contacting the lady at the front desk right away and she treated me like I was crazy and there is no way that was my ring. Well, I looked back to be sure and I am positive it was my ring. Is there anything I can do here to, either get my ring back, or get my reserve???
