For those of you who know us...you know we don't know much about accessories. My daughter is having a helluva time finding earrings and/or neck adornment. She called tonight to ask what we should do about the BM's jewelry and I said "Girl, we need to figure you out first!!" She bought a pair of earrings from Nordstrom.com but didn't like them once she received them.

We only have three weeks. We like to "wing it"

Theme for the wedding is "Spanish" not to be confused with Mexican apparently. ::::shrugs:::::
Wedding is at a Spanish Landmark in San Diego. She has spanish type fans for guests, that I spent yesterday practicing with. I can now drop that fan with style so I barely flick my wrist. Just like in the movies.

Groom is wearing an Ascot. (Very Antonio Banderas/Catherine Zeta-Jones in Zorro) In fact I did buy some eyemasks for the groomsmen to wear in a photo after the ceremony.

Any thoughts or suggestions??

What are the colors of the wedding?

Black, Gold, dark blood red/burgundy, and ivory. Fairly classic colors.

She bought a pair of gold shoes, but she may go with champagne instead.

The dress has a lot of crystal beading, so we were looking for something that would not be overwhelming or underwhelming. Or...alternatively, it could be something totally random and high fashion and she would be just fine with that too.

I think a necklace would be too much with that dress (which is GORGEOUS, btw). I think a nice pair of chandelier earrings are all she needs. Maybe you could do a fun mother/daughter shopping trip tomorrow and find something together?

like these?

Yeah, that''s my feeling too. I think she just needs to find the right pair of earrings. It''s just too much stress to try to find something that works with this dress. There is already so much going on....

Blech, shopping. You just had to go there didn''t you.

lol, actually, I do need some work stuff too, so maybe you''re right. I guess I am just sick and tired of the stuff I see at the mall. Shopping sucks here.

That dress is stunning, but there is SO much going on that I''m afraid it will overshadow any type of necklace. If you get a necklace that competes with the dress, that dress is going to WIN baby, so it might be good to go with either something more understated or no necklace at all?

Mandarine also had a spanish-style wedding (photos here: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/pro-pics.81259/) and she just had a very simple cross necklace that I thought was lovely.

What about no necklace and dramatic earrings? How is she wearing her hair, up or down?

Here are some examples that might provide inspiration:

OMG StephensBride...that second pair sort of matches her e-ring design....

I need to send her that picture. Where do we get those??? I didn't look past the earrings...
I hope they are big enough.

or these? I could go on and on, but you get my point. Something with a little drama to complilment that stunning dress would look awesome. JMO

oops, pic I meant to attach in my last post here.

In my very humble and unqualified opnion, I think that beautiful dress would look very nice with a necklace. :)
I think something that either goes down towards the breast (like a line? I will see if I can find a pic)

or
something kind of ''fuller'' looking. like this. http://davidsbridal.com/accessory_detail.jsp?stid=2741&prodgroup=164
and some chandelier earrings :)

rockzilla: That spanish bride looked awesome!! Normally, I would think those earrings were too "cha cha", but it worked with her dress and theme. I don''t think she is going to go with anything on her neck. Unless it was ultra big and worked....I just don''t see anything working with that dress. And of course, we have no pictures of any bride in that dress, so we can''t get any inspiration pics from them.

I sent her that spanish bride picture.

My daughter is wearing hair half up, half down with extensions. Her hair is going to look awesome.

StephensBride: Thanks so much!! Really, we are that bad at accessories. That is why we buy things that don''t need them.

I sent my daughter the links. Thank you so much...

I love PS!!!

But it would be easier on my fingers if my daughter would at least lurk here, so I don''t have to keep copying, saving, emailing, attaching...

Sophie, I actually think that is a nice necklace considering the dress. You Go Girl. My DD isn''t automatically responding to email tonight, and being a Saturday night, she''s probably actually out having fun instead of doing laundry, like me.

I think she may quite like something like this. I wish we had the nerve to pull off something zany, but the conservative part of me says....don''t try it!!

Thank you so much for your help.

Hey Hussy: Long time no see!!

I am sending my daughter those links too. I like the first ones the best, but didn't see a price yet, so that may change my mind.

MiniMS: OMG... I love the second pair better...and that's a good thing because I almost fainted at the price of the first pair. That first pair does match the only real "jewelry" that I own...which is a nice watch. But my watch is gold leafy band....boooo...

What a great price on that second pair though. I want them bigger.

ETA: I remember those wedding pics of Madarine when I was just a lurker. What a beautiful wedding and such amazing photography.

These would be my choice for the bride. In white metal or yellow they are lovely, and hang nicely on the ear. I've tried them on a few times and think they are nicer in person than on the site... and they give me a moorish feel, which is Spanish... not Mexican. No necklace for the bride gets my vote too.

Alternately... I like how this one goes with the layers in the skirt of her gown. http://www.emitations.com/semgemstonch-2.html

I agree on no necklace... plus I really just wanted to chime in and say how incredibly STUNNING your daughter looks in that gown!! It''s amazing!!!
