I did a few time when I first brought it home (since it was bought at a sample sale). It was really because I was so indecisive and needed to reasure myself I made the best decision. That phase quickly passed when I knew it was "the one." From then on, I never pulled it out to try because I was scared I was going to ruin it somehow (break the zipper, stain it, tear it, etc). Plus, Vera Wang put a plastic liner along the bottom of the dress to prevent stains or dirt when it was dragging across the floor so, I was trying very had to keep that lining from falling off!
I have to admit - I play dress up A LOT - but not with my dress....with my WEDDING BAND!!! hahahahaha. FI constantly catches me...or whispers with a smirk, "I know what you were doing earlier".
funny you posted this, I was thinking about going over my parents tonight to look at my dress (and probably try it on). I''ve had it 3 weeks and I''ve only tried it on once.
my dress is at my mom''s house, but while I had my band here I kept wearing it. It is also now at her house. I do wear my shoes around the house, but I HAVE TO BREAK THEM IN!!!
I can''t play dress up because I won''t have my dress until after christmas. But I do keep looking at pictures of me in it and ones online to keep reminding myself of it because I love it so much.
If my dress had been in the house, I probably would have been tempted to try it on often. But, my dress and I were not in the same town until 2 days before the wedding, so I only got to try it on at my fittings. My shoes arrived 2 days before the wedding as well, and I wore them during the rehearsal just to make sure I could walk around in them.
I say, play all you want. You only get to wear it once for real after all. (so sad)
