Okay, FI and I got our e pics done ins late June - and didn''t like them. We had chosen this studio specifically because they had worked at our venue before (which was a priority for us) and our specific e pic photog had never been there. PLUS, we didn''t really click with him and the pics were awful! So I talked to our videographer and he gave us anther photographer associated with the studio. Now SHE''s been unprofessional and I don''t really like her sample pics. Our wedding is October 12 and I''m having a minor nervous breakdown about this!

I called 2 other photographers and one of them works out of the same exact town as our venue so it would be no problem for her to be familiar with it by October, assuming she isn''t already - AND she''s miraculously available on out date! The other one hasn''t gotten back to me yet. . .

PLEASE help me!!! If I went with a new photographer, I should only be losing our $200 deposit - which is a lot of $$$ for us but pictures are really important to me - and there''s the chance that we might not lose it if we can convince the videographer to apply it towards the video and just cancel the photography aspect. . .

What are you looking for advice on?

If you don''t like a service provided by someone, then don''t use that provider anymore especially when there is another available. Hope everything works out for you!

Ooh fiery, you''re fast - ypu posted while I was still putting up the poll!

OH LOL!!!

Follow your intuition. Scrap the current photographers. The photography will be what you''ll have long after the wedding is over.

I agree with happygirl. We have to "fire" our current photog (our engagement pictures weren''t awful but her style isn''t really what I thought I wanted) and we will be losing a $500 deposit but pictures are very important to me. I''d rather pay more and have piece of mind- we can''t do our wedding day over if we don''t like the pictures.

We had to let our photog go as well...three weeks before the wedding

.

Ours took horrible engagement pictures, was very rude to me, my FI and my mother...over all, it was like ''pictures are to important and this guy is to much of a
d!ck to trust with our memories"

If you like the girl you spoke with, who lives/work in the town of your venue...meet with her in person, have an engagement photo taken and see where you are after that.

Thanks for your support, ladies!

I''m really leaning toward getting rid of the current photog (whose website was option 1 on the poll). . .To complicate things further, the third photographer did get back to me and is available and was really nice AND LIVES in the town of my venue and has worked there in the past.

So assuming similar pricing, help me out all you photog experts: www.lushphotography.com vs. www.stephanieviolettephotography.com - thoughts? opinions? Are they appreciably different?

::bump::

Where are my photography experts? Help a girl without any skills - what are the differences between LUSH and Stephanie Violette?

Stephanie looks more photojournalistic, while Lush seems to be more traditional/portraits. Both are very artistic!

I think Stephanie has a better website, the Lush folks aren''t doing a great job of showing off their photos so small.

If the pricing were the same, I think I''d slightly lean towards stephanie, but that''s just personal preference. Is there anyway you can look at a complete wedding set for each?

Any way you can go meet her in person before you choose? If not, I vote for Stephanie. I didn''t vote though because I wanted to make sure.

Looking at their sites, I prefer Stephanie to Lush. However, I would agree with Sarah that you should try and meet with them in person. I think it''s REALLY important that you feel comfortable with your photographer. I''m really happy you have good options, though!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I have no eye for photography and Stephanie''s and Lush''s looked the same to me. I am going to meet with both of them and go from there.

I met with both photographers and they were both great, but I am in LOVE with Stephanie - so nice, warm, friendly!!!! YAY!
