He owned arabians, so I was just slightly connected having known some of his horses, and been able to talk to some of his farm staff, he even posted on the arabian talk forums now and again. So sad.
He was an awesome actor!! I loved all the romantic movies he was in like Ghost. Prayers go out to his family. I am glad though that he''s no longer suffering and he was surrounded by family during his final moments.
I got an email alert about it from CNN during my class just now and couldn''t believe it - I thought he was doing better these last few months. I remember reading an article about him and his wife a few months ago and I''m just so sad for her and their families.
I''m very sad that Patrick Swayze has passed away, but he had a cancer that no one ever comes back from and we knew that his passing was inevitable. My husband and I lost three people to PC years ago. Each lived only a few short months after diagnosis. In fact his Aunt only lived for one month. We lost a lovely lady from our marriage group this summer to the same illness. She lived an amazing two years. At least people are living a little longer and are being given some time with their families to say good bye. It''s still very sad. By all accounts, he was a good man in all ways. I''m sorry for his wife''s loss. They were together since they were kids. Lisa''s heart must be broken.
Sad. He was a fellow Houstonian. And we are about the same age, causes one to pause and reflect on your life.
I know he had his vices, but it seems he had a very full and exciting life. RIP
I loved him in so many movies... But for some reason my favorite is To Wong Foo Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar. Hahah it''s so terrible that it''s good.
