Can you guys point me to some plain ivory flat (not folder over) cards that I can print up at home for escort cards? All I've found are tent/ folder over plain ones, or flat ones with "you are seated at" printed on them. Don't want either. Just want something nice, simple affordable, and home printable. Preferably on a laser printer... but I don't care, an ink jet will work too, I'll just do it at my parents.

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE.

Have you tried Michael''s? I am not 100% sure..but I think they might have had some last time I checked. Just a try! One other option might be to go to Officemax and see if they have any smaller size cards..almost like Christmas-card gift tags. Anyway, I will look around for you and let you know if I find anything.

Hmm, I haven''t seen any, but I wonder if you could find any print-your-own business card sheets? I''ll hunt and see if I can spot anything...

That is perfect!

ETA: If you use WordPerfect they have the Avery pre-made template so you know the exact dimensions and just put what you want into it. That should work!

Have you tried Paper Source? I know their website seems to show pre-printed or tent cards but I was at one recently and I saw packaged flat non-printed cards (I think) that were for use as escort cards... Maybe they were folded? Hrmm... worth maybe calling?

Can you print on larger flat sheets and cut them to size?

This is a great idea! Get some not too heavy weight card stock, print them, take them to Kinko''s and have them cut the whole stack. It''s super cheap!

We''re actually making my placecards so I''m not sure why I didn''t think of this!

If you have a scrapbooking store near your home, you could pop in there. They will obviously have a multitude of paper...in all different weights, shades of ivory...whatever you need. You could purchase the paper, take it home, print them the way/size you what them....and then return to the store and cut them to size for free.

Paper, on average is only about $.47 per sheet for plain upto about $.99 for the super glittery high fashion paper (in an 8x11)

You could further dress them up by placing a small crystal in each corner. Or purchase a lovely stamp and emboss the paper using a great embossing powder and heat gun. You could even mat them slightly with a complimentary paper tone under the flat card...still making the actual card flat...but adding interesting detail.

Wow. Lookit all these great ideas. I''m feeling just lazy and uninterested so I''m going to go with LadyC''s business card recommendation I think. Even though the flat sheets of paper would cost me less. Just... don''t care about this stuff anymore. Terrible isn''t it? Italia, can I hire you to care for me? LOL. I love your ideas, but I''m at the end of my rope. This wedding needs to be over and I need to be in a bathtub soaking somewhere with my new hubby.
