Hi miracles!

I have just purchased the same dress that your daughter wore for her wedding this summer. I got it from a girl who had cancelled her original wedding date and decided to go with a beachy wedding, so she was no longer looking for that kind of dress. The dress fits beautifully, except I was blessed with a larger-than-life chest area, so the dang thing naturally won''t zip all the way up. We are going to do some serious alterations to the back in order to accomodate my chest. I read through the entire thread of all of your daughter''s dress troubles (and that was awful!) but I was wondering if you ever did order any extra fabric. Since I got it from a person rather than a salon, I don''t know if I have that option??? I thought I would check and see if you ended up getting any and if it was the right fabric.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks so much!

Hey MissManna!

Congratulations you brave, brave soul.

We never did order the fabric as there wasn''t any time and we were intent on making sure the salon ordered found us a swatch from other dresses they had altered. It was a tiny piece and overall, we didn''t care as long as it was enough to wrap about her bouquet.

You can order material from Michelle Roth for that dress. It is approx. $100 for one yard. The minimum you an oreder is one yard. The material is the main laceoverlay along the side and back without the embellishments. I think it will be easy to add material to the back to accomodate your chest. It lays pretty low in the back...there''s no way to smash those girls in?

You can''t order the lace through any of the info on her website, but I know how to get a hold of her if you want. The problem is that they can be a litle snooty and deal with only bridal salons, but I am sure if you are paying directly, you can get the material on your own.

I want pictures!!!!! But right now, I have to get to work...........

Haha, yes yes, I know.

And I even read your thread before I bought the dress!

Mine lays fine though, as far as I can tell. It needs to be aired out a bit. She bought it about a year ago and it''s just been sitting in a bag.

No, I could lose 40 lbs and if it didn''t come directly from my chest (it usually doesn''t) it still wouldn''t fit! I tried the smashing part. My sister tried on the dress too and it fit snugly on her Bs. So there''s virtually no way to accomodate my DDs without some serious construction.

The back, lace overlay/beadless part is the part that I actually need! It would be awesome if I could order it directly. I looked at the website and didn''t see a way to do that. Perhaps you could help?

I don''t have any pictures yet. When I tried it back on at my sister''s place, I had just eaten a fair amount of Italian, so it wasn''t doing me any favors, haha. I will get some soon.

Chicken!! No pictures, no info.

Just kidding...I would never do that.

We were able to reach the dress designer at [email protected] If you don''t get a response, let me know and I can talk "cough* to our bridal salon and see what I can do for you. But any salon that carries the dress should be able to order the material for you. I would suggest giving yourself a lot of lead time. Personally I would first email Michelle Roth at the above email address and do so with a delivery receipt and read receipt. I think you may get a better price than going through the salon, but I am not sure. In case the post gets deleted because it has an email address....but it shouldn''t because that is a public business email address and not a private one, you can go to Michelle Roths website and listen to the recording on the phone number that directs you to the above email.

She doesn''t use the email address on her site anymore. I don''t know why. It doesn''t make any sense. But it is what it is. You should also be able to order the fabric from Kleinfeld''s in New York.

Good luck!!
