Oh I hope you see this soon!!

I have an appt at a salon today to fix my brassy color. On the phone, they were trying to talk me into carmelization. Highlights and low lights, right? The other thing they mentioned was all over color with highlights added. Do either of these seem like a better choice for me? I want my dark haircolor to blend out into my old blond and see what happens as it grows out. Does all over hair color have more upkeep than the carmelization??

Anyone with advice is welcome to chime in!

SS - I have dirty blond and just had high and low lights added and it is totally different from before! The colors blend well, but also add a lot of pop!

Thanks df. My hair has always been a medium/dark blond but since I had Lily, it's a dark flat brown. I tried a box dye and it went brassy blond so I need to fix it!! Do you think it will grow out well?

Hi...sorry, hope I've caught you in time...works been crazy.

There is no such thing as "caramelization"...the best I figure is that they want to add carmel highlights...humph.

Explain, REALLY WELL, what you want. Hi's and Low's will give you beautiful dimension, and an all over color, between the foils will lend itself to blending!

I am excited, you'll have to tell me how it turns out!!

Okay, so the "carmelization" was highlights and low lights done at the same time. Must be their "fun" term or something. Anyway, I'm VERY happy with it. My base color blends really well and the low lights add a lot of dimension that I've never had before. The stylist said if I want to go dark gradually, I can just add in more lowlights occasionally. If I want to go lighter, add in highlights.

How does it look to you??

eta~ ack. Having issues resizing today. Obviously my hair isn't pixelated but this does show the color pretty well.

I don't know what the level of highlights is but I asked for medium brown lowlights since that's the color of my roots. The base color was a box color that didn't turn out like I wanted. I used 9 1/2 nb and it turned out brassy golden.

Thank you, Italia, for suggesting the gloss. SOO worth it. Can't believe how soft and shiny my hair is!
