I''ve been totally MIA. I received one of those promotions with more work but no title or salary change around the first of the year and I''ve been swamped ever since. Wedding planning has taken a back seat as my brother is getting married on the 31st of this month. As the entire family has been focusing efforts and finances on their day, I''ve let off a bit. Now we''re not sure if our original wedding plan is really what we want. We''re thinking about scaling back about 50% and doing something in the Providence area instead of the beach. There''s this really unique restaurant called Cav that we like so we''re looking into having the reception there. It''s a restaurant/antiquities gallery so there are tapestries and artifacts everywhere. It''s really gorgeous. So if the venue changes, the date will probably change from May 23, 2009-Memorial Day weekend-to sometime in the summer or following Fall. We''re really in no hurry.

In general FI and I are doing well. We''ve both insanely busy with work and we''ve started in on some home repairs/improvements. The other weekend we remodeled our bathroom. That was an adventure to say the least! I know all of our extra cash should go towards the wedding, but it''s somthing that we really enjoy doing together and we can work on stuff inside in the A/C! We''ll be tiling our foyer next and then on to a new roof and exterior paint! Sadly a lot of homes in our neighborhood have fallen victim to the mortgage crisis. While we''re OK, I think we''re feeling like we need to make an effort to keep our house/yard maintained in the wake of all of the for sale signs.

So work has calmed down a bit now and I should be back in full swing. I hope everyone is doing well Any big news?
