Hi ladies,

Thanks for stoppying by!

Elrohwen, I wanted to let you know that the Clinique mascara is AWESOME!!! I know you mentioned it was life-changing (as much as a mascara can!) for you and I have to tell you that is the feeling I have too. I never ever would wear mascara because I would look like a raccoon by end of day or I'd have to constantly check it. But I just came home from being out on a boat and still no residue. Love it! Thanks for your help! Oh and one question, I think you mentioned something about putting on additional coats right away vs waiting. So far I have only done one coat but would like to do an add'l coat sometimes. So what is your best advice?

Autumnnovember, thanks so much for all of your help too! For my friends wedding, I actually think I am going to have the makeup artist that she is using do mine too. Then I don't have to worry about doing it myself etc. But because I don't live close to her, I will not get to have a trial run which kind of stresses me out slightly. But I wanted to ask you if I could show her your pic that you posted (the one with the mac smoky eyes/nude lip). I really like that look and I think that the colors would work really well with a dark purple dress. Please let me know if that would be ok with you. I know it's kind of silly but I'd rather show her a look that I like since I'm not able to do a trial run!

Of course you can use it! :P I'm glad you liked the look! I've had people do my make-up multiple times and that was definitely my favorite. I will suggest that since you don't have the trial run if you don't like what she does PLEASE don't hesitate to say something! You're paying for her services and it is important that you feel satisfied with what she does. I think the picture will help her out in visualizing what kind of look you're going for :)

I'm so glad you like it!! It's an awesome mascara for people like you and me with the raccoon problem.

For multiple coats, I try to do them one after another while it's still wet so that you're building up layers of mascara. You can leave 30 seconds between coats or so, just don't let one coat totally dry then try to apply another a few minutes later - I find it doesn't work too well and can get clumpy (though the small brush is pretty good at preventing clumps compared to other mascara brushes I've used). Other than that, I don't really have any advice - just layer on as many coats as you want to get the look you're going for. I usually put on 2-3 since the brush is small and tends to put on a light even layer with each coat.

Perfect!!! Thank you so much! I think that pic will be a nice guide for her. I like that it is a smoky eye but not over the top you know? And you are right, if I don't like something I will certainly let her know. Thanks again!!!!

Thanks El! I like the one coat for everyday but I am going to have the makeup artist use a couple of coats to glam me up for the wedding!!!! You've been a big help!

Glad I could help!
