So I just got my wonderful Oscar Heyman designed engagement/wedding ring and was showing it to my 11 year old daughter, Lillian. I asked her if she would like my ring when I pass away. She looked at me straight in the face and said, "No, I don't think so. It will probably be old-fashioned." Ha! I told her that her 10 year old sister would probably gladly take the 5.24 TCW (4.03 center) ring off her hands... I can't wait to remind her of this conversation when she's older and can actually appreciate diamonds!

LOL!!! that is funny! They just can't appreciate it at this point - it doesn't have IM capabilities or digital games on a screen!!

But I understand where you are coming from - my 18 year old DD didn't really flip over my remade ering, but a simple morganite pear in an eBay halo - she thought was the cat's meow! go figure....

A female kin of a Pricescope member doesn't want a diamond ring????

My bestie drives a Lincoln MKX and informed her 13 yr old daughter that she will inherit that car when she is 16 and can drive. She commented that she didn't want it because "its an old person car". Amazing how kids just don't realize...
