OT Poll: What is your favorite household chore?

I hate cleaning and I have a big house. In my perfect world, a house would be completely cleaned by hosing it down.

I LOVE to cook!!!! It''s one of my passions. My girlfriend (in the avatar on the right) always says I should be a chef, but I could never do it for a living. It would run it for me. I like to keep it as a hobby. We have a dinner date every week to try out new recipes. The hubbies love it cuz they get a good home-cooked meal at least once a week. My honey doesn''t live with me so he loves it more than her husband.

As much as I need to cook, I find folding freshly dried laundry very fulfilling. I love to smell the scent of clean laundry and feel especially good when I can crisply fold laundry that is ready for the bureau or for wearing. Call me strange, but its nice to be clean!

BAKING!!!

Bread, pies, brownies, cakes, you name it I love it! Makes me feel so productive, creative and efficient! It is also a good cure for the blues, bake a cake then eat it

I love packet mixes occasionally for the convenience, but prefer to do everything from scratch. The most fun is my Christmas Cake, I soak the dried fruit in a mix of brandy, sherry and whisky for 2 - 3 days

Putting sheets fresh out of the dryer on my Heavenly bed and then getting in them! Nothing like clean sheets...and I probably change them every 2-3 days! With the new Tide with Febreeze, Lavender Vanilla Downy, and lavender Vanilla bounce sheets...you almost want to lick your sheets they smell so stinking good!

Hate washing windows!! Uggghh....which reminds me that they look really disgusting right now!

I love to cook, but i don''t like following recipes. So i make them up as i go. I guess all the measuring (1/2 cup there, 1/4 teaspoon here) drives me nuts. All the little measuring spoons and cups you gotta clean afterward. Same dish will never come out the same twice. I guess it''s difficult to give out recipes when I don''t even know how much I put in it.

However, baking is a diff story. I must measure!

PS. Favorite day is when our cleaning lady comes!!

I enjoy loading the dishwasher, because I like to admire my blue & white pattern "Ingrid" by Queens & my simple, contemporary Oneida flatware as I rinse them off!! I have a housekeeper who comes bi-weekly, thank goodness. I''ve saved money since hiring her, because now I don''t mind being home. My house was so messy before, that I would always be out shopping because I didn''t want to be at home!!
