It is Israel EGL certified 1.71ct, Colour I, SI1 picture of it on the below link, it is cheaper I presume due to the EGL cert.

What do you think of this diamond, worth buying and send back within 10days if unhappy, maybe get it appraissed locally when I receive it?

Other stats on cert:

Issuer: EGL Comments:- "TOLKOWSKY IDEAL CUT" - The proportions of this diamonds are within tolerance of those proposed by Marcel Tolkowsky, as the ideal balance between brilliance and dispersion.

Welcome!

It appears to be decently cut but it is laser drilled and EGL Israel are thought to grade leniently according to some experts...I would want an Idealscope image for this diamond, a good return policy and the sale final on it checking out with an independant appraiser and also to investigate the laser drilling.

http://diamonds.pricescope.com/grading.asp This page explains how the grading labs rank.

Here is the appraiser listing.

If you want to give us an idea of budget and what you are looking for, we might be able to find some good diamonds as alternatives for you?

7000 USD is limit. Largest carat no smaller than 1.5 and color was thinking g,h,i and would be happy with this diamond only ofr egl but that is probably why it is a little bit cheaper. I guess if I like the look of it and get it appraised I should be okay. as cut and size is excellent and clarity should be fine and okay with drilled once out of sight, to be honest once it looks good is a good price I am happy. Concern is mainly over it looking dead and yellowy

Hi!! I have a 2.2 H SI1, EGL International. Ideal Cut H&A. Holloway Cut Adviser 1.2

The diamond is eye clean, face up super white, and the appraiser said that is the best cut I could have in a round diamond.

If you like it, go for it. I would not change my 2.2 for a 1.5 GIA certificate, because at the end is just a certificate. Just be sure you are getting a beautiful diamond.

Good luck.
