haha....cute ones.

hate: the mess she made during meal time
love: the way she feed herself

Hate: those annoying painful gas/tummy pains!

Love: tummy to tummy time, rubbing back to make those pains go away!

I hate, that they are all grown up. My "baby" graduates highschool next week.

I love, that they are all grown up.

I HATE it when they fight with each other!!! And I hate it that even though I try and be equal and fair with them all, when I hear them whine "No fair!!" when they think someone is getting something more than the others.

I LOVE it when they are happy, give me spontanious hugs, and give each other hugs :)

Just today, my 2 of my kids told me they ran into each other on the playground at recess and played together. That made me happy :)

I can imagine thats a very mixed emotion for you. Happy they are grown, but also sad they are grown.

My youngest is going to kindergarten this fall and I''m elated!

Hate: Not being able to sleep in until 12pm if I wanted to.

Love: The adorable things they say and do, out of the blue that make my day.

LOVE--the sound of your baby''s first real words
HATE--the whining that substitutes for the lack of real words

Hate: when she has trouble sleeping.

Love: watching her sleep.

I was thinking something similar:

love: when they first start saying "mama"
hate: hearing "mommy" every 2 minutes (when they are older)

Ellen same goes for me...

DS is graduating in 2 weeks. DD is turning 21 on Sunday... Time went too quickly.

I love who they have become, and love the special bonds we share..

For those just embarking on parenthood, enjoy each stage, each age and each milestone..

Lisa, your post brought tears to my eyes! I try to remind myself to cherish every moment everyday but sometimes it is hard. After a tough day I go in her room and watch her sleep or sometimes even dare to hold her b/c she rarely wakes up and just allow the stress and headaches to leave my body and replace it with love and calmness only a sleeping baby can bring.

hate: his tantrums, which just get crazier by the day and when he decides he does not need a nap for the entire day
love: when he says "love my mommy," kisses, hugs, cuddles, listening to him talk, learning new things everyday, that he is a true mama''s boy

Hate: Never being able to leave my house with just my keys and wallet, and not being able to go where I want, when I want, for however long I want. Since I am a SAHM, I always have to bring DS with me everywhere, and I miss the carefree days of getting in my car and doing what I want to do all day.

Love: When my DS takes my face between his little hands, smiles and me, and kisses me on the nose. It''s the most precious thing I''ve ever experienced in my life.

It really is, bittersweet.

And I remember that feeling, freedom!

(for a few hours anyway!)

mrss, you hating hearing mommy every two minutes reminded me of my middle one. He went through a phase when he was about 5, where all of a sudden he''d say mom, I''d say what, and he''d ask me some really random question. He would do this several times in a row, and it always seemed to be when I was paying bills or trying to concentrate. About the last one, I would answer what, with much exasperation in my voice, to which a small, meek voice would say, I love you. Used to make me feel wonderful for obvious reasons, and horrible I hadn''t been more patient on that last "what".

Hate: being up all night for several nights in a row with a miserable kid who has an especially violent case of stomach flu.

Love: that she wants only ONE thing when she's sick: her mommy!

Hate: my kids fighting with each other
Love: when they spontaneously hold hands or grab each other in a bear hug and say, "I love you."
