Hate: Waking up every morning earlier than I would like.
Love: Walking in to her room and seeing her face light up with a big cheeky grin and her arms outstretched for a hug.

(I also think I''d really hate being a referee between two kids if the time ever comes.)

You?

oh...fun thread! I can''t limit it to just one so I am cheating. Haha.

Hate: waking up early and not having enough "me" time.

Love: her wet kisses, snuggles and hearing her say "mama"

Hate: Baby poo.
Love: Baby butts.

That''s another good one!

Hate: her pulling my hair.
Love: her stroking my hair.

Hate: waking up early, no me time, no together meal time with DH since either me or him is occupied with little B

Love: hear him said "mama", kisses and hugs. seeing him healthy and happy

Hate: the constant worrying.
Love: every new milestone.

Hate: the back breaking work of giving the kid a bath.
Love: Fresh clean smelling baby.

oh fun. I agree with everyone that''s already been posted...in addition

Hate: Tantrums
Love: her running into my arms when I pick her up from daycare

Hate: not being able to go places where she is supposed to sit still and be quiet (church is a nightmare!)
Love: hearing her talk and sing

I hate when they''re sick or in pain and I can''t do anything about it. But I love that kissing owies makes them better.

-hate: frowny face with tears (albeit cute, makes me sad-still)
-love: Big cheesy smiles, oh yeah, one of DD snorts when she laughs at times.

mine''s more of a random listing...

hate: back arches! hair yanking

love: smiles when she sees me approaching her crib; little baby teeth popping through; baby butt and leg folds of fat; baby waves!

I''m not a mommy yet, but I hate the process of teething... poor little ones. But I LOVE the little toothy grins!

Hate: the price of toys and the HORRIBLE noises/songs that some of the make.
Love: the few minutes of peace it can give me when she''s distracted by them.

Hate: the feeling of competition that some other mommies stir up.
Love: when my kid trumps over theirs.

(I''m kidding on this one, btw...Amelia hasn''t trumped anyone yet, but I do think I might like it. Hee.)

I am not a mom yet but I am a proud godmother to two beautful boys (11 months and 2.5 years).

HATE: suffering through a fit/tantrum when needing take take a toy away due to bad behavior.

Hate: the pregnancy weight that doesn''t come off.
Love: The snuggles that my kids love to give!

Hate: When my two boys are fighting (like right now!)
Love: When they play together like the best friends they really are.

hate: not having slept for more than a 5 hr stretch in the past 4 mos
love: how he celebrates whenever he sees me even if i was out of his sight for 30 seconds, and how he recognizes me and sometimes will only be consoled/calmed by being cuddled by his mama

hate: the early wake ups
love: getting to spend more time with him when he's up early

hate: no "me" time
love: how he calls me "mama" and gives me a hug and a kiss every opp. he gets

hate: the food struggle during certain meals!
love: when he laughs hysterically that he ''won'' when i throw in the towel and move the plates away

Awwwww, I loved reading all of these. T- gal you are right about being a referee. Egad, it is hard on my daughter with the two grandboys. Hard on me too.
