What stone shape do you have in mind? Tapered band, one width all the way around, asymmetrical? How do you want the diamond to sit in or on the band?

I love my Mork Morrell ring for the smooth, clean lines. It''s very bold, yet feminine at the same time (if that makes an ounce of sense) It''s a simple solitaire with heart prongs...really makes the diamond "pop"...band is plain plat. with groove for ering to sit in. klr

.....what sort of things im looking for.

well, i am a bit over the top on proportions...just a little. my gf has smaller hands and a ring size of 7. a high solitare setting looks a little wrong to me (tho i think she likes the showy quality of a diamond hanging in the air) to keep the height she likes and still bring the scale of the center stone (round) back to the band and her fingers, i am drawn to settings that use pear side stones to bridge the gap. i think it would look better on her that way.

but again, i am more than open to any suggestions that might do the same....

***or am i thinking WAY too much about all of this.

Of course you''re not thinking too much about this. You want to make sure your future fiancee is happy with the ring you ultimately choose for her, and you''d like to be happy with it too. An engagement ring is an important token of a couple''s commitment to each other, and significant thought ought to go into it''s selection.

Mark Morrell''s designs breathtakingly elegant. You already seem to have a good idea about what you would like, so why don''t you give them a call and see if they can accommodate you? Be sure to read the information page on his site first though.
