With my bf now having the day off after the situation with his job. We went and met my parents for lunch and then headed to check out a potential venue site.

And it was PERFECTION. It''s the Virginia Aquarium and it was so gorgeous. Also a part of the site was under construction and would be done march 09 (Wedding is June 09)...and it was so awesome. It would involve a tunnel for our guest to walk through with sting rays and fish swimming around.

The ceremony would take place outside on the water, then after a scenic walk over the marsh they would enter the aquarium and would walk through the tunnel, through the fish tanks, through the sting ray exhibit (They would get to touch the sting rays if they wanted to), through the sea turtle exhibit, through the huge shark tank and then they would get to the actual sit down reception site. Which has huge floor to ceiling windows looking at the water.

While the guest are walking through the exhibits, they would be butler passing food and drinks.

Gah it was absolutely PERFECT!

It just makes everything so real now.

I saw a wedding at an aquarium once (on TV

) but it looked really beautiful and romantic! Sounds like a great idea!
