So my FI is out of town this weekend, and even though my best friend couldn''t come I decided to spend the day visiting bridal shops. I tried on all sorts of dresses in all kinds of different silhouettes. It was just a fun try-on day, since my wedding is not for another 13 months! I had a great time, no stress, even managed to sneak a bunch of photos at the shops that wouldn''t allow it.
Well, at the third shop they had a Watters dress I loved, and this was the ONLY shop in all of greater Los Angeles I could find that carries the Watters bridal line (I had wanted to try a specific dress I saw online). However, at that point I was 99% sure I wanted the Casablanca 1831, which I love, love, love, and this Watters dress was more than twice as expensive.
Well, throw in an offer to sell me the sample, plus a bit of negotiation to lower the sample price, and more negotiation to lower the alterations costs, and the next thing I knew I was plunking down my debit card (didn''t even have the credit card with me!). Luckily, they will store the dress for me.
This dress is strapless, but I''m going to add straps to it. That''s why the straps look so funky in the photos.
