Ok to wear a LBD to a 3pm wedding?

I just bought a knee length little black dress for a friend''s wedding...and am now having second thoughts. Is it OK to wear to a 3pm wedding?

what does it look like, and when (month wise) is the wedding? with a bright scarf or bright jewelry it''ll look fine, especially if its a dinner/cocktail reception (in my opinion)

it''s a simple sleeveless empire waist, no frilly things attached
