No freakin'' kiddin''!

There are just some things that you''ll never forget. I have a sneaking suspicion, this link would be one of them.

How can these people have children?!?

I imagine a few of us saw that article but we didn''t see the need to repost it.

If you MUST pass it on, you should have added "not for the squeamish" in your title as a warning IMO.

Why on EARTH were these sickos allowed to have their child back after they already pled guilty to child cruelty under the influence of PCP once before?!

Our legal system is worthless.

**crying**

I can''t look. FI told me about it last night. Sickest thing I have ever heard. That poor, poor kid.

That''s disgusting and people like that should be used for target practice at sniper school.

I am going to throw up...oh my God....it''s just bad for words.

sick, sick, sick...

I heard about this on the radio and can''t click on that link out of fear. Ever since I heard about it on the radio, its been mind (just heard about it today). Just so awful. When parents abuse kids or anyone abuses kids, that just makes me so sick. But what this man did to his son is beyond, just beyond horrible.

Did anyone see Slumdog Millionaire? That scene where the boy gets blinded? I was horrified by that scene and found it really haunting. But this is not a movie, and its his FATHER. Awful, awful, awful.

I'm sorry but I just can't make myself click and read it. I just can't.

I get the shivers thinking about it. I'm going to give my children extra hugs and kisses tonight.

Yes that scene was really hard to watch. I only wish this guy would get the same. I can''t even imagine what this poor boy went through.

I pray he gets proper medical care, and has someone to give him tons of TLC and love. Lord knows, he needs to know what love is... I pray someone will adopt him and give him a great life. I can only imagine the pain he will have going forward.

Nope, not gonna read it.

It''s just sickening, and so very very sad...

>_<

I''m with Gypsy. I can''t read any more of this type thing. No link clicking for me.

Has anyone noticed that there''s something truly horrifying in the news practically every day now? What the heck has happened to our world?

You know what's sad...

I posted about a month ago, how bad things have been in Houston recently. Well, this morning I woke up to find out that the headline for overnight news was a huge fire that happened to a VERY large furniture chain in the area. It is a man that treats the homeless to a full Christmas dinner every year, with silverware, tablecloths, and poinsettia's on every table, and every child gets there pick of thousands of toys. He is known for donating furniture to families who lose the homes and belongings in fires. He is truely an amazing person and runs an amazing company...

With a VERY heavy heart, I am saddened to say, that my first thought was relief. This was the first morning in over a month, there has not been an overnight attack or a shooting here.

I still refuse to read that article, but I wouldn't be surprised if he and the man that threw the baby from a moving car were somehow related

In one of my toxicology/criminology courses, we studied PCP and an example used was - a gentleman on PCP actually cut his face along his jaw line and FLIPPED his face inside out. The worst part, he didn''t die nor did he even know he did it until he woke up in the hospital with a demented looking face - and a lot of pain.

That poor child. My heart goes out to him.

Gallery Furniture?! I can''t believe this happened last night. Shows how often I watch the news (I can''t stand watching the news because of how scary/negative it is).
How awful. Just read an article that he''s looking at new warehouse space. I''m sitting in a chair by gallery furniture as we speak.

Ugh. Turning green over here at the thought. Warn a girl next time.

Oh my gosh, I wish I had not read your post. What a grusome image.

Wasn''t PCP originally made as a large animal tranqulizer? Its the worst of the worst in terms of numbing out and violent behavior from what I understand.

Is anyone actually capable of reading this? Even seeing the sentence posted about this is unbarable to me! I do not want to know the gruesome details.

OMG =(

I read it. but I wish I didn''t =(

What a SICK PERSON!

something about this situation really resonated with me, so i''ve done some following through on it.

i called the police in bakersfield, child protective services, the jamison center ( government intake faciity for foster children deemed at risk) and half a dozen other people, plus read all i could find on it. i eventually ended up having a conversation with Baby Angel''s (the little boy in question) aunt who called me last night. she and her husband are trying to get custody of him but are hitting various govt road blocks. at this point they don''t know where he is but are only being told her is ''happy and well cared for'' (this sort of thing really annoys me - how can he be happy? at this point he has been declared blind in both eyes). as part of my career as a kids'' psych, i''ve worked as an advocate for parents with children in foster care in the past, and i can tell you that when your kids go into ''the system'', getting them back can be extraordinarily difficult. one of the most concerning aspects of this situation is the number of opthamologists who have offered to work with Baby Angel for free, but are unable to access him at this point. as you can imagine, time is of the essence here, and government services just do not have access to unlimited top shelf medical care. as such, each day that passes is a day less likely for being able to treat this little boy.

i''ll be out in LA next week and may be meeting with this family. the father is in custody and the mother is basically on the run from what i can tell, but the aunt and uncle are both employed, married with 2 young kids of their own (9 and 3), own their own home, and keen to take Baby Angel in. my gut feeling at this point is that my association with this family will be ongoing, both in a work capacity and also via a few ideas my husband and i have regarding other ways in which we might help.

obviously the medical expenses and ongoing legal and educational expenses are phenomonal, and a trust has been set up. i''ll post details on it later for anyone who might be interested in giving even pocket change for this highly traumatized and destroyed little boy.

whitby,

Thank you for your concern and taking the time to help this family! Keep us updated, please.

Whitby, thank you! I know sometimes people don''t like to see horrible stories like this posted, but it just takes one person to get the ball rolling to help!
