I know I am so horrible. I did post one....

I looked at the digital camera and there is nothing that says anything about a macro mode.

My boyfriend, of corse, is clueless and it is his camera.

I did go into best buy yesterday and looked at cameras and it appears that the Macro button looks like the outline of a tulip flower.

Can someone confirm for me if this is correct? If the flower is on the screen does that mean macro mode is on or off?

I want it off right?

I believe you want macro on, and take pics in natural light to start with so you can have the flash off. Don''t zoom in too close, the diamond shouldn''t be taking up even close to the whole frame!! Most people just crop & zoom using photoshop after.

so thats what that flower means....LOL... so whats the mountain then?? Just the outside mode? I have had my camera for almost a year and I still have no idea how most of the stuff works on it..

Yes, you want macro (flower) on, it helps you focus better when you''re taking pictures at closer range.
