Wedding Off on wedding planning holiday today

Hello!!! I am super excited, I have to tell! I am off to Cairns (tropical north Queensland) today to meet visit my folks and plan our destination wedding (in Northern Cairns). I am so excited!!! My parents live up there so I will be crashing with them for just over a week and we have lots of appointments to see florists, photographers, venues and the all important first wedding dress shop with my Mum. Dad keeps threatening to move north for the week

Mobzy - short for mother-of-the-bride-zilla is beside herself with excitment that I am coming up, she has been ringing me everday and saying Only x more sleeps!!!!

Luckily I have access to the net so I can keep you lovely ladies updated on all the progress, but by the time we get home (FI is flying up with his Mum in a few days to join the planning fun), we will have a venue booked, a photo booked and a date!!!!

And if you are not already jealous, Mobzy makes killer strawberry dacquiris and has the blender ready, and also 6 bottles of my favorite wine to drink while going over details

Will post updates and hopefully a few pics from sunny QLD - bring on the warm weather - whohoo!!!

Gotta go, havn''t even got packed yet and our house looks like a bomb hit it, and I still have to do a pedi and mani - can''t go on holidays with crumby nails.

Does anyone think I am overdoing by packing my ultrasonic cleaner for my ering?!?! Honestly please ladies?

Thanks girls! My Mum it totally not a MOB-zilla, that''s why I have given her that nickname (she actually calls herself now that too, she''s so cute). She has been great - the whatever you guys want to do attitute, not pushy at all. She''s fabulous. Dad has got another case of selective deafness when it comes to the wedding though, he''s a boy - although he is very looking forward to wearing his tuxedo again. It only happens once every year or so.

I arrived in Cairns last night and it''s hot and sticky! No cocktails just yet, but I am sure I will have some pics soon

Better go, have to consult my ''wedding planning holiday schedule'', so many appointments. It''s the holy grail of this trip, funny how I put it iin the side pocket of my suitcase and it rained pretty hard as they were unloading the baggage and it was the first thing to get wet

Oh well, it''s all good!

It''s 7.30am here and I am off to jump into the pool!
