NYC PS'ers: Tacori + Michael C Fina Diamond Dash

I participated in a Diamond Dash in LA a few years ago, and had the most fun! I didn't win any of the top 3 gifts, but I got to bring out my competitive side with SO, and it was definitely one of the more memorable moments we shared. Just passing along the info for anyone interested If you guys have bicycles, use em (if they're allowed)! The winners of the LA one I participated in were all bicyclists.

Damn I wish I was there. I would participate specifically because of the organization it benefits.

It sounds like fun, but I'm not sure I get it - how can folks from all 50 states be invited to participate if its in New York? Can you participate remotely?

I think they mean you're allowed to fly in to participate. Maybe the previous year required you to be a native NY-er? Inviting out-of-staters makes more sense, though, since the states on the East Coast are all within close proximity to each other.




And yes, it is some serious fun! When we did it, we grabbed another couple friend to join us. We weren't competing to try to win the ring, as it was quite obvious the more physically fit and those with bicycles/scooters/roller blades were at an advantage. We were just racing our other couple friend, to see who can get more points! At the end, when we found out the winning points, we realized that we weren't that far behind from the 3rd place winner! We regretted not bringing bicycles, and competing a fair game at a chance for a real prize.
