I live here! I still cannot believe nobody noticed 30 million missing, it is kind of embarrasing.

I saw that in the newspaper. Had the same reaction: How on earth??? Guess they didn't audit town accounts, big booboo.

How do you not notice $30 million??? I contract for our local school district and I submitted an invoice which was off by $213.33, when I collected my check they brought it to my attention. I'm blown away at the lack of oversight! incredible really. That said, what she did was incredibly wrong, but I imagine it must have only become easier for her when she continued to get away with it year after year after year.
