Not allowed to edit posts after certain time period?

I just noticed you aren't allowed to edit a post after a certain time limit. I thought in the past you could edit a post whenever you wanted. However, I could be wrong. Is this something that just changed? How long do you have the option to edit after you post? Just wondering! Thanks.

I don''t know if it changed but it has been like this for a long while now. You do get quite a long time to edit first before the option is taken away though.

I have no doubt that the edit function was changed for a good reason. I really appreciate all the great work you admins do to keep this forum up and running, safe, and a great place to post.

I just noticed it and was wondering how long we have the option to edit after we post. If you cannot disclose this information, I understand.
