Anyone ever have a month of spending just the absolute minimum? There are different degrees of this and maybe the best part is you can totally make it what you want.
For my no spend month I am cutting out all the little crap, the coffees that are all to convenient, no take-out food and of course no personal indulgences (jewelry, clothes, cosmetics etc). Just today I got invited to a Partylite show and I simply said I had to decline, normally I would go and buy something just to support the person even though it's not a needed purchase at all. In reading blogs about this some will go so far as only going grocery shopping once and then not at all for the rest of the month, that doesn't work for us but who would t want less trips to the grocery store right?
Anyone else want to hop on the train? I figure by the end of this I will have a little extra cash for the holidays and a few more recipes from all that home cooking! If you have done a spending hiatus and have any tips feel free to share.
