New on the scene - where can I find the best deal on diamonds?

Hey guys..super new to the diamond scene and I''m not really sure where to go for the best deals. Someone told me that Sams Club had really good deals on diamond solitaire engagement rings - is this true? I am looking for a 1.25-1.5 ct princess cut diamond engagement ring. I am a student and looking to keep the costs as low as possible. Any suggestions?
