I just found this place yesterday and read everything I could let me just say what a wonder of information you all have compiled here thank you.
Finding this site makes me feel like I am Billy Bean from the book Money Ball. How the traditional statics (Batting AVG, RBIs, and HRs) don’t accurately tell you how good a baseball player is and that the baseball world should look for new statics (On Base % & slugging %) to tell the true worth of a player.
To me that seems to be very similar to what I have read here that while the 4C's are still very important we should be looking for new statics to look at while looking to purchase diamonds. With the advancements of HCA and ideal-scope and other imaging tools we now have that ability. And I guess with the changes in grading in 2005 (I believe) it seems the industry has as well begun to accept the new way of thinking about ideal diamonds.
Well on to me my name is Billy I am currently looking for a diamond so I can propose to my girlfriend. I am not new to the forum world so hopefully I can pick this forum up quickly I look forward to my search for the perfect diamond for her and I will keep you guys and gals informed along the way. I will certainly be looking for input I just purchased an Ideal Scope and I plan to take photos and post them up for some of your more trained eyes.
Also I am obviously a car guy from my avatar I love do it yourself stuff and love learning all about new technical things.
