New Kindle with special offers: good or bad?

I just saw a post from Amazon that states starting May 3rd you can buy the new kindle for $114. The catch - what they call special offers. Your screen savers are ads, an ad is shown on the bottom of the home screen....

I think its kind of annoying to have to see all these ads for only $25 less, but I guess it might not bother some people. What do you think of this? Would it bother you?

I saw the Kindle at BJ's Wholesale Ckub yesterday for $136.99. wow what a savings.

I heard that it may come down to $99 later this year.

Ha! I like BJs but you have to know your prices to actually get a deal. lol

99 would be good, but I dont think the 114 is worth it if its riddled with ads!

It wouldn't bother me, and for some, it mentally brings the cost of the thing down to affordable.

The ads are only on the screensaver and on the bottom of the home page. Which means if you are reading, you don't have to see any ads. Since 99% of the time I am on my Kindle, I'm on a page in a book, I would hardly see the ads. I really don't care what the screen savers are.
