Wedding New Job! Warning: possibly annoying to some.

SO - I am about five months until the wedding with tons of showers, parties and other weddings to attend and I just accepted a new job!! I really wanted to wait until after the wedding to take this plunge, but financially I REALLY needed to go ahead and get started. I haven''t worked since having FI''s and my son 15 months ago! It has been an absolute joy to be at home with him every day and see him grow before my very eyes! The situation though is that I am a massage therapist, specifically sports injury and deep tissue work. I accepted a job at a Therapeutic Healing place which is open 7 days a week. I made it very clear before I took the position that at most I could work 2 weekends out of each month and specifically let her know which weekends would be no-go''s. I just get so stressed out over scheduling issues, and talks with the owner/boss about being out of town, or hosting a shower, or getting someone to take my shift, ya know?! I just hope I am not getting in over my head with a new job, a 15 month old, weekend work, and tons of wedding to still plan! And my bach party in Nashville in October!!! AND my honeymoooooon, where I will be gone for 8 nights. WOOHOO!!

As long as you were upfront with your boss and told her when you can and cannot work I can''t imagine there being any problems.

Yay for your new job! I have the same worries about starting a new job and coordinating days off before the wedding because I''m about to quit my current job and move across the country where FI is. It sounds like you might have some flexibility with which days of the week you work so as long as you give your boss lots of notice when you need to be gone I bet it''ll be fine. If you''re willing to cover other people they''ll do the same for you.

What are you planning to do in Nashvegas for your bachelorette?! I went to college there and one of my friends had her bachelorette in Nashville a few years ago. It was lots of fun. I just love Nashville.
