Yesterday we had a family get together and this little cutie came into the yard and our hearts.

His name is Oliver. He is the most lovable, ornery and adorable kitten ever. I sang him a lullaby about his cutest.

I still think he may already have a home since he is very socialized and seems well aware of what inside is. I plan to ask all the relatively close neighbors. He seems very happy here so if he stays its ok by me.

Oliver is adorable!!!! Such a sweet face!

Just in case he already has a family . . .
Have you brought him to a vet to see if he has a microchip? I know many shelters have been microchipping kitties for years, we adopted our cats at least five years ago and they all came microchipped.

I'd also post on Craigslist and a couple of the lost kitty websites. And put up some local signs. He definitely doesn't look like a feral cat to me! He looks waaaaaay too comfortable in that last picture, I bet some family is missing him dearly right now.

The local vets and pet stores are a great place to put up FOUND signs. Ours all have boards for lost :blackeye: and found animals.

Either way, he is a LOVE!

I do plan to get him checked, but the vet I use is closed on Sundays. I am leaning towards him not being chipped because he is still intact and I would think if his owners would chip they would have also already had him snipped.

We live in a pretty rural area. There are only two possibilities of ownership around me. I almost love him, but both possible families have kids and I would never keep a beloved pet from a kid.

He's adorable! Hope all works out and you can keep him or find his home. He looks like quite the little lover!

Oooh, sounds like the odds are better that he's going to need a home if there are only two families near you! That's exciting.

How couldn't you love him? Look at that face!

Oh, he's SO cute!!! What an adorable face, he is very similar in coloring to a kitty I used to have - I love him!

Oh my goodness, what a honey! I hope you can keep him. Snuggling up to that little guy would be a treat!

What a cutie! And Oliver is a great name!

very cute: i wouldn't go to much trouble to find his "home" if he had one..... he's way to cute not to have been better supervised. also, you should be able to feel the chip between his shoulder blades.

Gah! I am in love. The belly shot is so freakin' cute. I hope Oliver has his forever home with you.

Awwwww Oliver is adorable RQ ::)

That fuzzy tummy and curled feet

I hope you can figure out his story quickly, and decide if you're keeping him!

AWWWW!! :)

Whoooz the cutest kiddy? I dink it's you! I dink it's you!

More pics, please!! =)

What a Sweetie........

Oh my gosh, he is just so cute!!!!!!!!!   I was just telling my hubs that I want a little orange furry boy but he says no, two kitties is enough

Awwwwwww, he's so cute!     Rub that little nose for me!

We went to Hershey Park today so I wasn't able to get more pics today. The next time I upload I will make sure to spin them. I don't understand why pics from my iphone always show sideways...

Oliver must be comfortable now. From what I can tell the rugs need killing, toes need killing, all toys need killing. He terrorizes everything! DH found him hanging from the shower curtain. We were only able to wrangle him long enough to get 7 nails clipped.

We are already in love with him. I am thinking of asking the local pizza delivery place to put flyers on their pizza boxes. We have already invested in baths and flea removal, but if he has a home its only right

OMG, Oliver is too adorable! I am in love with him too!!
I hope it works out for you guys! You are doing the right thing as I can only imagine how awful his owner(s) must feel if he was part of someone else's family before you. However, I hope he stays with you!!!

More pics please. :appl:

ETA: I think I need another kitten! Do you think 5 are too many? :naughty:
Oh darn society's conventions and all that jazz. :cheeky:

Oh my lord he's so cute. He looks similar to my Duncan
I've got 5 Missy and some days it's not enough, and some days it's too many.
My Duncan (he's a buff/apricot color not a true orange though).

Why did you call him ornery? What does he do? I love cat personality posts! Tell us more about him!

I know what you mean Gypsy! Your Duncan is one gorgeous furbaby! There is just something about orange/apricot cats- they have such an outgoing personality in my experience. :appl:

I just asked my dh if we could adopt another but ofc he has to think of the practical logistics etc and he said we cannot transport 5 cats every weekend back and forth because 5 carriers won't fit in the car. But that if it weren't for that he would love another. Hmmmm, there must be a way around that dontcha think? :cheeky: It does get a bit hairy chasing the 4 of them down every weekend going and returning. :!:

Honestly though I just think it is part of my personality that I will always want another cat/(dog one day I hope)/diamond- I don't know why but that's just the way I am I guess.(Luckily for my dh I am completely satisfied with having him as my one and only dh  )

Haven said it best in another thread- something about crazy cat lady/crazy diamond lady. :halo:
But there are so many animals that need a home...

Duncan is a cutie. I hope Oliver grows up to be as pretty.

Olivers name was Peanut Butter. The family would like for it to stay PB, but the name Oliver really fits his personality.

I tried a photo shoot, but he isn't having any of that. WILL NOT stay still. His new funnest thing ever is to climb up the back of the couch with his claws! The cats that I already have are allowing him the best them. Its so funny.

Oliver makes 5 for me. I have quite the collection going... I guess I have a biased opinion, but 5 seems to be a good number :praise:
