Anyone else get the new blue book?! YUMMY :) I especially love the blue sapphire and diamond art deco earrings!

NO! You lucky girl. I bet it is delicious!!

It is....the book has my mind running...although some cost 10x the amount of our condo!!!

I''m a Sales Professional at Tiffany and am yet to see the book myself. I''ve heard stories of some amazing pieces however!

Ever- you are so lucky (I would love to have your job!). The pieces are amazing...one of the best books yet (I think). It starts with a 20+ D, IF diamond ring for a cool 6 million.

By the way, do you know how they decide to send out the books? i.e. who gets them? why?

Yummy is an understatement.

I got mine. You can''t beat diamonds and sapphires together.

It''s not my style, but the lily brooch on p.45 is a work of art. I''ll take the cherry blossom bracelet on p.95 though.

No, I haven''t seen it! Hey Belle - Wanna meet for lunch!?

I won''t be getting one as I have yet to buy from Tiff''s

. BUT, I did receive Birks blue. Totally underwhelming

MB-I agree----this is to die for (I think). If I win the lotto, it is mine. I will say that some of the rings, especially the blue tourmaline on pg 13, if pretty affordable at 18K, as is the 15k tanzanite on the page...

Miranda- where do you live? I would LOVE to meet you for lunch!

Also, the broach on pg 45 is a work of art, just totally not my style. Perhaps Jackie O?

Miranda,
Your lunch aside, I''m happy to send you my copy.
Come join us for lunch while you are in CA! It''s only an 8 hour drive!

Haha. I was just about to ask you to make the drive north.

But, Harriet, Pala Gems is down here! About 45 minutes from my house!

Patience, my dear. I have to go to LA at some point.

Miranda, you won't believe this but they sent me TWO copies (one to my husband, one to me!). Wanna grab lunch and I will give you the extra one?! I am free weekdays after 6 (I work at USC, so the drive takes a while) or on Sundays...(Saturdays are for UCLA football!). Pick a time and place!!!

Sundays are better than weeknights for me. I never know which kid''s sporting event/dance lesson I will be attending on weeknights. I would never think of interrupting a UCLA game! DD (in kindergarten) has a UCLA backpack! Hmmmm...Where should we meet? Do you ever go to the Mission Viejo Mall?

Ha! The first thing that popped into my mind when I saw the blue book sitting in my mail box was :

"There''s got to be a thread about this started on PS!"

I agree that there are some glorious pieces in there, but does anyone think some of the others are a little... (for lack of better words) busy? I can''t put my finger on what it is exactly, but I think they''re on halo overkill mode. Okay, I''ve flipped through the book again, and almost every single piece has crazy melee all over it. Somewhere. As much as I like a sweep of glitter, I kinda miss the classy Lucida years. Where are the swoopy lines? Where are the rich metals? But then again, it''s not just this year that Tiffany''s used lots of melee as a back drop. I can''t figure out what it is that''s bothering me?? Sorry to be such a party pooper. . .

BUT, on a happier note, I love love love the green tourmaline rings - a couple appear to be the perfect Tiffany blue! I bet Dreamgirl would love one of those on her pretty finger. There were two in the book - wanna share with me? hehe. (OMG. I just realized if I sell my car, it can be mine.)

The lily brooch really is TDF, Harriet. I''m drooling over the color of the pink opals. It took me a year and finally a purchase to get me over the apple green chalcedony in last year''s book. *sigh* I''m going to be dreaming of pink opals this year.

Oh, and the diamond earrings on pg 62-63. I can almost feel the cool metal slipping over the back of my hand, or barely grazing my shoulders every time I ever so slightly turn my head. Oh dear. I should stop, or I''ll drool right into my bowl of fage. I''m off to share the book with hubby! (He just asked me if there was anything I wanted for Christmas for the third time just a minute ago before taking off to go to bed. Boy is he going to regret asking!

I think someone''s smitten.

I agree with you on the halo overload.

Miranda- I go to that mall at least 2x a week (a J Crew addict). I also do South Coast----

Want to meet at MV this Sunday?

Haha! Me too! I''m there all the time. I''m a Pottery Barn and Pottery Barn Kids addict, though! SCP is more of a trip for me so I don''t get there as often as I''d like. I''m in San Clemente.

Yes - let''s meet! Sounds fun! Well, let''s make that a probably...I''m being forced to eat sushi on Saturday night (I never have) by DH and some neighbor friends and I am terrified I will be sick the following day! I have a sushi phobia. Everyone tells me it will be just fine. I''m rather nervous about it. Especially since one of my friends going will eat eyeballs...I won''t take her word that sushi is edible. Where and when shall we meet?

Hmmm...How about in front of Pottery Barn! Say 11:30?

Perfect! Looking forward to it! I''ll post here if the sushi has made me ill - heehee!

Hope not! See you Sunday at 11:30 in front of PB!
