My daughter''s friend is getting married next month and the Bride is having a hard time coming up with ideas to give as gifts for the parents of the Bride and Groom. I don''t know too many people that had great ideas for this other than ordering them a "parents album" of wedding photos. And for the Bride to email me for help is an honor and an :::eek:::, I don''t know kind of thing. But I do know where to go for great and unique ideas.

So, what are you y''all doing, or what did you do for your parents as gifts to them for either contributing or helping out with your wedding?

Don''t be shy, I know how creative most of you PS''ers are.

Bring it on....

I have a friend who recently got married who sent her parents and the groom''s parents (separately) on weekend vacations - gift certificates to B&B''s... that was WAY outside our budget, but our venue is connected to a restaurant so we got gift certificates to there so our parents can go out for a nice dinner.

Good luck!

Great question! I''m totally going to wait and see what everyone else suggests because I''m stuck.

One suggestion could be a really nice photo album with a promise to fill it with wedding photos?

I totally second Buttercup on this...It is what FI and will likely do. Sidebar, I have also given a gift certificate to a restaurant or B&B as a wedding gift (when going as a guest). I think it gives the recipient something fun to look forward to after the wedding.

We also went the B&B route for my in-laws. For my mom I got her an eternal love necklace from Tiffany''s and a new watch (engraved) for my dad. We are going to get them parent albums for Christmas.

We gave all the parents jewelry from David Yurman (I am a huge fan). We gave my dad onyx cufflinks, his mom an amythest bracelet and my mom a garnet and diamond ring. The gifts were pricey, but our parents paid for 100% of the wedding, so we wanted to do something really nice for them. I think they liked them a lot, I have seen each of them wear the pieces numerous times since the wedding.

I''m stuck on this one, too! I have to get a gift for my mom, my dad, my stepmom, and FI''s parents, so it''s a little trickier when there''s an extra gift in there to find something affordable, especially since my father already has about 4 of everything under the sun! I''m thinking we might take the easy way out, though, and get a nice engraved picture frame for each set of parents so they can put a wedding pic in it later. Not creative at all, I know, but I think this wedding has given me permanent brain damage!

We got each set of parents a digital photo frame. We''re both only children and know that our parents already have photos of us plastered over their homes, so why not store hundreds more digitally

I just got my parents thank you gift yesterday! Good timing Miracles ;)

I got them a Kate Spade 5X7 frame

we got them Waterford crystal picture frames, though the digital frame is a great idea - thats what FI got for his best man.

Thanks gals.!! You rock.

I think B&B gift certs are a great idea as well as the digital photo albums. Waterford and Kate Spade!!

I didn't even know that Kate Spade made picture frames. I really need to get out more often.

I don't have any other suggestions, because I didn't get a Parent's gift.

But that is because I am going to be getting something better in the near future. They promised me a Grandchild.

So, I am not much help for our friend at all. I am going to keep an eye out for other things. It's so hard not just to do something great with a picture. I never get tired of looking at pictures of my daughter.
