So my sister is designing our wedding stationery and after much back and forth, we''ve narrowed it down to a couple different layout options. There is still some tweaking to be done with fonts and text layout, but my sister (who I think is probably getting a little impatient w/ all my little changes) is putting her foot down and wants us to pick one overall layout that we can then work on finalizing. Problem is, FI and I have differing opinions on which one we like best...I like the horizontal version w/ no calendar, but I agree with FI and my sister that a calendar is a better visual for helping people remember the date. A number just isn''t as impactful...But since I''m so indecisive, though I''d put it out for a vote and get a few more opinions.

What do you guys think??

Would still work on which lines are in script and also size of the wreath...

I personally like how clean this one looks, but agree that the date doesn''t stand out quite as much as the calendar versions

OOPS, please disregard this version!! (See one below)

Correct horizontal w/ calendar...

#2!!! It looks much cleaner and prettier. I don''t think the calendar is needed... plus it takes up space. You could always bold the date on #2 - or spell it out - August 4th, 2009? It might stand out more that way.

Thanks, Sha! I think you''re right...it might stand out more to spell it out rather than use the numbers. I''ll definitely suggest that if it ends up being the design we pick (my sister refuses to make any more tweaks until we pick a layout

#2 by far. So much more chic.

I like number 2 best, but voted for horizontal with calendar because I know the calendar really helps when i try to plan for weddings that I''ve gone to. I think the horizontal with calendar is a great compromise!

Odd person out, as usual!

I like number 1. It's unique, cleaner, fresher. Number 2 is second for me.

ETA: You're lucky to have such a talented sister to help you out!

#2! It''s so simple and stunning. People can read, they don''t need a calendar (although, the calendar ones are darling too). I think with the design you have, the simple date really makes for a clean and stunning ''take notice'' kind of STD. Beautiful!!!

I really love the design of the card! I love the second one more than the first. So my vote is no calendar.

ETA: I personally love the date as is (not spelled out). Also, I think that if people keep a calendar, they're likely to circle the date or write the info. on it anyway. I think this is the same thing that Jules wrote.

Thanks for the input, everyone! Sounds like horizontal it is! I will see if my sister is willing to play around with the date (number vs spelled out) and see how that looks and if one stands out better than the other.

I think I''ve found the cure for my indecisiveness: Pricescope :)

Another vote for horizontal no calendar! It looks great and is just so classy to me. Not that the calendar isn't, I just think sometimes the simpler the better.

ETA: Sorry for the lateness. But I had a concurring opinion, yaay!

Oooohhhhh I picked vertical with calendar. I love the calendar idea...and that''s the cleanest one of the calendar choices. It''s gorgeous!!!
