Wedding Need Crafty Help!

This is my first thread in BWW!
Unfortunately it isn't very exciting, but I need some help from you crafty ladies!

I am working on the decor for the Engagement Party my Mother is throwing, and have come across an idea I really like, but I am just not sure how to execute it.

Basically I need to figure out how to make the initial so that I can put either greenery or flowers on it.

Please let me hear your ideas!!

easiest way would probably be to thread floral foam on a coat hanger/thick wire. The floral foam will then hold in all your flowers/greenery, you just stick it in.

Yes it is! Don''t worry I had NO CLUE what most of the stuff was until I hit the foral section at Hobby lobby!

Yup! It''s somewhat moldable, very cuttable, and most importantly CHEAP!

Yup! It''s somewhat moldable, very cuttable, and most importantly CHEAP!

If you''re using fresh greens, you might want the kind of floral foam called a floral oasis... you can soak the foam in water and it will keep the stems nice and fresh.

So we think wire would be the best route?? What about just glueing the foam together and shaping it? Is that even possible?

Maybe possible, but wire will be MUCH more flexible to bending into shape and it will hold the foam better. I''d thread wire through it personally. My parents own a greenhouse and they''ve always done it that way.

Good question, here is an online how do it with flowers linky I wish I could send you moss from my back yard, its covered in it. No grass. The initial idea is so nice for an e-party. Have fun.
