Thank you all so much for thinking of me! I wonder how far in advance of the procedure should I take a Valium? I don''t have any here at home so wonder if they give it to me the morning of, how much time before it takes effect?

I talked to a friend who had it and she said "take the Valium".

I am a little nervous, and sure hope it comes out ok, both the procedure and the result.

it''s not smart to drive with valium, so take it as soon as you get to the dr''s office. it''ll kick in after about 20 minutes.

Beacon, I hope everything goes well for you tomorrow!!

Hi everyone. I just completed the biopsy procedure. It went very well!

I was so lucky as they were able to visualize the area they needed right away, so it saved time. I lay there long enough to have my fingers start falling asleep, but pain wise, there was virtually none. Plus the table was not as horridly uncomfortable as I feared it might be. (though it sure was not any spa lounger!)

I am so relieved to have that part over. My doctor said she did not need to put one of those marker clips inside me. My boob is all packed up with gauze and ice and tape.

So far so good. Your support has made a huge difference to me and I thank you so much!

Now I await a result. And pray.

Glad to hear your biopsy went well, please keep us informed.

When I was 22, I had a mass in my left breast, which my Dr. wanted removed and analyzed. Though I was young, my chances of it being anything major were small, but still scary. It was surgically removed and it was 8cm! Fortunately, it was fine. However, I can relate to women going though stuff like this...not fun at all.

Oh Beacon, thinking of you; my dad had a biopsy llast week and we are waiting too, so prayers outgoing for you and a huge hug.
