I ordered a camera that looked okay on paper and could be delivered in time to get to South Dakota. Big mistake. It wouldn't focus and was a massive pain as it was geared more for vlogging than photos. I don't know much about cameras but would like to learn. Something that will let me use it simply with defaults and not swapping lenses now but lets me get fancier as I learn later would be perfect. I'm not sure if that exists. Looking to stay under $500 or so. Can do more if a commanding difference makes it a good idea. Hoping to get it before I drive across the country. (which came out of nowhere and needs to happen as soon as possible so quick delivery helps) Added excitement here as I have never been able to take a really good picture of my sparklies 8)

Okay, I got worried about shipping times. Ordered a Canon EOS 250D. Hoping it works when it arrives as I leave the day after it is estimated to arrive.

good camera for the price.
Which lens?
use the viewfinder not the screen for best results.

Canon EOS Rebel T7 Digital SLR Camera with 18-55mm EF-S f/3.5-5.6 is II Lens + 58mm Wide Angle Lens + 2X Telephoto Lens + Flash + 2X 32GB SD Cards + 3 Piece Filter Kit + Tripod + Full Accessory Bundle

the 18-55mm EF-S f/3.5-5.6 is II Lens is the kit lens its ok in good lighting on static targets.
it has a low max aperture size and a slow focus motor.

edit: its a good starter lens just dont try shooting sports or weddings with it.

the other 2 do they attach to kit lens or separate?

Once you figure out what you shoot most and that you enjoy it you can start adding more lenses.
Hint: b&h sells used lens that have been professional gone over at a significant savings from new.

B&H is awesome! I wish I had time to order through them. Might have gone a different direction with the camera. This trip came out of nowhere and needs to happen quickly so I had to go with just my cellphone or order in a hurry.

Long term, photos will be from inside an airplane looking out or at airshows (especially aerial performances) plus whatever random around. I've never used a camera with different lenses before. Will be a learning experience!

I have the same package except for the T6 which I bought about two years ago just as a starter like you, and I am happy with the photos that I am getting. Hoping this works out for your purposes.
