With numerous end-of-the-year school activites and volunteer work, still adjusting to the new house and all the yard work, AND buying gifts for a wedding and bridal shower, plus a girly night out, I nearly forgot that my husband''s and my 11th anniversary is in a couple weeks.
I was in the kitchen and looked on the calendar. On the anniversary date, my husband had drawn a thick-numbered 11 with two candles above it. I asked him who''s turning 11 on the that date!!! He looked at me and said "guess?" Eh, looks like no diamond eternity band for me.
I know many get super upset when spouses forget anniversaries, but after experiencing a month of out-of-control planned events, I can now see how this would happen.
